قال أبو عِمران (2): وحدثنا عمر بن محمد، حدثنا أبي، حدثنا محمد ابن أبانَ، عن السُّدِّي، عن سعيد بن جُبير قال: رأيتُ ابنَ عمر وأبا هريرة وأبا سعيد وغيرهم، كانوا يَرَونَ أنه ليس أحدٌ منهم على الحال التي فارَقَ عليها محمدًا ﷺ غيرَ ابن عمر.
It is narrated from Sa'id bin Jubayr that he said: I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with them all) and other Companions; they held that none of them had remained in the state in which they had parted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) except Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) (who held firmly to his abstinence and his way).
