It is narrated from Aishah bint Sa'd that she said: My father was a short, sturdily built man with a large head and thick fingers. His kunyah was Abu Ishaq. He died in his palace at al-Aqiq, which was ten miles from Madinah, and then the people carried him on their shoulders to Madinah.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Sulayman bin Dawud al-Shadhakuni is a 'matruk (abandoned)' narrator, but he is not alone in this narration. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Although he is abandoned, there are corroborations (mutaba'at) for his narrating it from al-Waqidi. 20/ 295. Reference / Source: Ibn Sa'd narrated it from al-Waqidi in 'al-Tabaqat' (3/ 133) and added that Sa'd had a lot of hair on his body and used black dye. Details of the narration: He combined the narrations of Bukayr bin Mismar and 'Ubaydah bint Nabil but did not mention the kunyah. Reference / Source: Ibrahim bin al-Mundhir al-Hizami narrated it from al-Waqidi in al-Tabarani (294), and added that he was present at Badr. Reference / Source: Abu Nu'aym (518) narrated the hadith of Ibn Rustah via Abu al-Shaykh al-Asbahani, but it does not mention his dying in the palace. Note / Clarification: 'Al-dahdah' means short and fat. 'Al-hamah' means the head, i.e. he had a large head. Note / Clarification: 'Shathn al-asabi'' means having thick fingers.
