أخبرنا الحسن بن محمد الأزْهَري، حدثنا محمد بن أحمد بن البَرَاء حدثنا علي بن المَديني، قال: المغيرة بن شُعبة بن أبي عامر بن مسعود بن مُعتِّب بن مالك بن عمرو بن سعد (2) بن عَوف (3) بن قيس بن مُنبَّه (4) بن بكر بن هَوَازنَ بن منصور بن عِكْرمة بن خَصَفةَ بن قيس.
Mention of the lineage of Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him): He is al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah bin Abi Amir bin Mas'ud bin Mu'attib bin Malik bin Amr bin Sa'd bin Awf bin Qays bin Munabbih bin Bakr bin Hawazin bin Mansur bin Ikrimah bin Khasafah bin Qays.
