It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of Badr the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rise up towards a Paradise whose width is equal to the heavens and the earth." At this, Sayyiduna Umayr bin al-Humam al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! Is its width equal to the heavens and the earth? Excellent, excellent (bakhin bakhin)! By Allah, O Messenger of Allah! Will I be among its inhabitants? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, you are among its inhabitants." Then he took out some dates and began eating them, then said: If I remain alive until I finish eating these dates of mine, that would be a long life indeed. The narrator says: So he threw away the dates he had with him and fought the enemy until he was martyred.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Abu al-Nadr is Hashim bin al-Qasim al-Baghdadi, and Thabit is Ibn Aslam al-Bunani. Reference / Source: Ahmad (19/12398) and Muslim (1901) narrated it through the route of Abu al-Nadr Hashim bin al-Qasim, with this chain. So al-Hakim's including it as an addition (istidrak) to the two Sahihs is an oversight on his part.
