It is narrated from Jabalah bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him), the brother of Zayd bin Harithah; he said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, send my brother Zayd with me." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There he is (in front of you); if he himself wishes to go, I will not stop him." Then Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "By Allah, I will not choose anyone (in the world) over you." Jabalah said: (Seeing this, in my heart) I said: Surely my brother's opinion is better and superior to mine.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it, and it is a supporting witness (shahid) for the previous hadith.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Note / Clarification: (1) In the manuscripts this name was corrupted into "'Ubaydullah" (the diminutive form); it has been corrected from the sources of his biography, and his student Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili also used this name ('Abdullah) when narrating several hadiths from him in his "Musnad".
Grading: (2) This hadith is "sahih", and this chain is "hasan" because of 'Abd al-Ghaffar bin 'Abdullah bin al-Zubayr al-Mawsili; a group narrated from him and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat". Minjab bin al-Harith and others corroborated him in this hadith, and Minjab is thiqah. Abu 'Amr al-Shaybani (in the chain) is Sa'd bin Iyas. Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (3815) recorded it through the route of Muhammad bin 'Umar bin al-Rumi > 'Ali bin Mushir, with this same chain, and said: "This hadith is hasan gharib". Corroborating chains and supporting reports: And Minjab bin al-Harith corroborated both of them in al-Tabarani's "al-Mu'jam al-Kabir": (2192) and elsewhere. Reference / Source: It was also narrated by Abu al-Nadr 'Amr bin al-Nadr al-Basri from Isma'il bin Abi Khalid, in Ibn Abi 'Asim's "al-Ahad wa al-Mathani": (2600), al-Tabarani (2193) and elsewhere.
