Musnad Ishaq bin Rahwayh 450 — Description of auction
أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ عَطَاءً الْخُرَاسَانِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَايَدَةِ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثٍ: الْمِيرَاثِ وَالشَّرِكَةِ وَبَيْعِ الْغَنَائِمِ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) forbade auctioning in things other than inheritance, partnership, and the sale of spoils.
