Musnad Imam Shafi'i 926 — Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ، وَخَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ: لَبَّيْكَ عَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ. فَقَالَ: وَيْلَكَ وَمَا شُبْرُمَةُ؟ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا: قَالَ: أَخِي، وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ: فَذَكَرَ قَرَابَةً، قَالَ: أَفَحَجَجْتَ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ؟ قَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: فَاجْعَلْ هَذِهِ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ، ثُمَّ احْجُجْ عَنْ شُبْرُمَةَ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَرْبَعَةَ الْأَحَادِيثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْمَنَاسِكِ، وَالْخَامِسَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْحَجِّ مِنَ الْأَمَالِي.
It is narrated from Abu Qilabah that Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) heard a man saying: "I am present on behalf of Shubrumah." So Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Woe to you! Who is this Shubrumah?" One of Ayyub and Khalid al-Hadha said that the man replied: "He is my brother." The other said that he mentioned his relationship to Shubrumah. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Have you performed Hajj on your own behalf?" He replied: "No." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Perform Hajj on your own behalf first, then (afterwards) perform Hajj on behalf of Shubrumah."
