Musnad Imam Shafi'i 335 — Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with)
أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ صُعَيْرٍ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ صَلَّى بِهِمُ بِالْجَابِيَةِ، فَقَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْحَجِّ، فَسَجَدَ فِيهَا سَجْدَتَيْنِ.
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Thalabah bin Sa’eer that Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) led them in prayer at the place of Jabiya, recited Surah Al-Hajj, and performed two prostrations in it.
