Musnad Imam Shafi'i 1734 — from his uncle that the Messenger of Allah
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ: "أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى الَّذِينَ بَعَثَ إِلَى ابْنِ أَبِي الْحُقَيْقِ عَنْ قَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ" .
Ibn Ka'b bin Malik narrated from his uncle that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he sent (people) to Ibn Abi Haqiq, forbade them from killing women and children.
