أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ" . أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ جِرَاحِ الْعَمْدِ، وَالثَّانِيَ مِنْ كِتَابِ قِتَالِ أَهْلِ الْبَغْيِ.
It is narrated from Sa'id bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And whoever is killed while protecting his wealth is a martyr."
