Musnad Imam Shafi'i 1534 — Do not eat the animals slaughtered
أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّهُ قَالَ: لَا تَأْكُلُوا ذَبَائِحَ نَصَارَى بَنِي تَغْلِبَ؛ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَتَمَسَّكُوا مِنْ دِينِهِمْ إِلَّا بِشُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ.
It is narrated from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: "Do not eat the animals slaughtered by the Christians of Banu Taghlib, because they have not adhered to any aspect of their religion except drinking wine." (That is, they have abandoned the rest of its practices.)
