Musnad Imam Shafi'i 1376 — from his father that he said: The Messenger
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: خَيَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا بَعْدَ الْبَيْعِ، فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: عَمَرَكَ اللَّهُ فَمَنْ أَنْتَ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "امْرُؤٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ" . قَالَ: وَكَانَ أَبِي يَحْلِفُ مَا الْخِيَارُ إِلَّا بَعْدَ الْبَيْعِ. أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ وَالسَّنَدَ بِلَا مَتْنٍ بَعْدَهُ، فِي كِتَابِ اخْتِلَافِ مَالِكٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ، وَإِلَى آخِرِ السَّابِعِ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْبُيُوعِ، وَهِيَ أَوَّلُ مَا فِيهِ.
Abdullah bin Tawus narrates from his father that he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a man the option after a sale (had become effective), so that man said: May Allah grant you a long life, who are you? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied: "A man from the Quraysh." Abdullah said: My father used to swear that there is an option after a sale (has become effective).
