Musnad Imam Shafi'i 1322 — Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: لَيْسَتِ الْمَبْتُوتَةُ الْحُبْلَى مِنْهُ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا أَنْ يُنْفِقَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ أَجْلِ الْحَبَلِ، فَإِذَا كَانَتْ غَيْرَ حُبْلَى فَلَا نَفَقَةَ لَهَا. أَخْرَجَ الْأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ أَحْكَامِ الْقُرْآنِ وَالثَّانِيَ وَالثَّالِثَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْعِدَدِ.
Ibn Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said: For a thrice-divorced pregnant woman, the husband is responsible for nothing except to spend on her because of her pregnancy, and if she is not pregnant, then her maintenance is not upon the husband.
