923 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْكَاتِبُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، أبنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا تَسُبُّوا الْأَمْوَاتَ، فَإِنَّهُمْ قَدْ أَفْضَوْا إِلَى مَا قَدَّمُوا»
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Do not revile the dead, for they have already attained what they sent forth."
