218 - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الصَّفَّارُ، أبنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْحَرْبِيُّ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ: عُفَيْرٌ: كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ؟، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «الْوُدُّ يُتَوَارَثُ، وَالْبُغْضُ يُتَوَارَثُ»
Muhammad bin Talhah narrates from his father that indeed Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said to a man who was called ‘Ufair: “What did you hear the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say?” He said: “I heard him, peace and blessings be upon him, say: ‘Love is also inherited and hatred is also inherited.’”
