The best of you are those who are best in settling debts
Musnad ash-Shihab 1273 — The best of you are those who are best
1273 - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُوسَى السِّمْسَارُ بِدِمَشْقَ، أنا أَبُو زَيْدٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفَرَبْرِيُّ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبُخَارِيُّ، أنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، وَقَالَ، فِيهِ: «إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِكُمْ - أَوْ خَيْرُكُمْ - أَحْسَنُكُمْ قَضَاءً»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) . . . and he narrated this hadith and in it he said: "Indeed, the best among you is the one who is best in repayment."
