خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ
The best of you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it
Musnad ash-Shihab 1241 — The best of you are those who learn
1241 - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمُعَدِّلُ، أبنا ابْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، ثنا عَفَّانُ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ»
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best among you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it (to others)."
