حَدِیث معَاذِ بنِ اَنَس الجهَنِیِّ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Hadith of Mu'adh ibn Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15649
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ , وَيَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ , قَالَ : أَحْمَدُ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَقَالَ يَعْمَرُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ , أَنَّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ يَحْيَى الْمَعَافِرِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ حَمَى مُؤْمِنًا مِنْ مُنَافِقٍ يَعِيبُهُ ، بَعَثَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مَلَكًا يَحْمِي لَحْمَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ، وَمَنْ بَغَى مُؤْمِنًا بِشَيْءٍ يُرِيدُ بِهِ شَيْنَه ، حَبَسَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى جِسْرِ جَهَنَّمَ , حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِمَّا قَالَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever defends and protects a Muslim behind his back in the presence of a hypocrite who is mentioning his faults, Allah will send an angel on the Day of Resurrection who will protect his flesh from the fire of Hell. And whoever accuses a Muslim of something in order to disgrace him, Allah will stop him on the bridge over Hell until he is freed from what he said.
Hadith 15650
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الدَّوَابَّ كَرَاسِيَّ ، فَرُبَّ مَرْكُوبَةٍ عَلَيْهَا هِيَ أَكْثَرُ ذِكْرًا لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنْ رَاكِبِهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not consider animals as mere chairs, for many mounts are better and remember Allah more than those who ride upon them.
