And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Make your rows straight and close together, join your shoulders, for by the One in Whose hand is my soul, I see that devils slip in between the rows like small sheep."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah does not waste any good deed of a Muslim; He grants him reward for it in this world as well as in the Hereafter. As for the disbeliever, the reward for his good deeds is given to him in this world only, and that is why when he reaches the Hereafter, he will have no good deed left for which he may be rewarded.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) towards Makkah Mukarramah with Surah Bara’ah, but when he reached near Dhul-Hulaifah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent word to him that according to the custom of the Arabs, this message can only be delivered by me or a member of my family. Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) with that message.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until people begin to boast to one another regarding their mosques.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "When I take away the eyesight of a person and he endures it patiently seeking reward, then his recompense will be Paradise."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) had a curtain which she had hung in a corner of her house. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her, "Remove this curtain from here, because its images kept appearing before me continuously during prayer."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowledge that does not benefit, a heart that does not humble, a supplication that is not heard, and a soul that is not satisfied. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from these four things."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the issue where a man had a woman in his marriage, whom he divorced three times. That woman then married another man, and this second man divorced her before consummation. Is this woman permissible for the first husband? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, not until the second husband tastes her honey and she tastes the honey of the second husband.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we used to pledge allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would include the condition "according to ability" in it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would go to relieve himself, I and a boy would present a water vessel.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that my mother once sent me to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with something. When I arrived there, I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing and in his blessed hand was a branding iron with which he was branding the animals of charity.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Rubai‘, who was the mother of Haritha (may Allah be pleased with him), broke the tooth of a girl. Then those people came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and began to demand retribution (qisas). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered retribution. So Rubai's mother said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Will so-and-so's (my daughter's) tooth be broken?" By the One Who has sent you with the truth, so-and-so woman's tooth will not be broken. Meanwhile, those people became pleased and forgave her and gave up their demand for retribution. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are some servants of Allah who, if they swear an oath by Allah regarding something, Allah surely fulfills their oath."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came and asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for something. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that he be given many goats from the charity goats, "as many as could fit between two mountains." That man went back to his people and said, "O people! Accept Islam, because Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gives so much that there is no fear of poverty or destitution." In another chain of narration, there is this addition: Sometimes a man would come to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and accept Islam only to obtain worldly goods, but by the evening of that day, the religion would become dearest to him of all things.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Paradise is surrounded by hardships and Hell is surrounded by desires.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was riding his white mule and passed by a garden of Banu Najjar in Madinah Munawwarah. There, punishment was being inflicted in a grave, so the mule shied. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you people would not stop burying your dead, I would have prayed to Allah to let you hear the sound of the punishment of the grave."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once said to Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that Allah has commanded me to recite the Qur'an to you. Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "Did Allah mention me by name?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Yes!" Upon hearing this, Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) began to weep.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No person who enters Paradise will ever wish to leave Paradise, except the martyr, who will wish to return to the world and be martyred again in the way of Allah, because he will see the honor that has been bestowed upon him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (in the beginning in Madinah Munawwarah) used to pray facing Bayt al-Maqdis, then later this verse was revealed: "We see your face turning repeatedly towards the sky; soon We shall turn you to a Qiblah which you will like, so now turn your face towards Masjid al-Haram." After the revelation of this verse, a man passed by Banu Salamah while they were offering the Fajr prayer and had only performed one rak'ah, when this person announced that the Qiblah had been changed and the Ka'bah had been appointed as the new direction. So, they turned towards the Qiblah while still in the state of prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For the people of Paradise, a market will be established where they will come every Friday. There will be mounds of musk in it. When they go towards this market, a breeze will blow, filling their faces, clothes, and homes with musk, and their beauty and elegance will increase even more. When they return to their families, their families will say, "After you left here, your beauty and elegance have increased even more." They will reply to their families, "Your beauty and elegance have also increased greatly after us."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when this verse was revealed: "You will not attain righteousness until you spend from that which you love," Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Our Lord is asking us for our wealth. I make you a witness that my garden named Bairuha, I give it in the name of Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Distribute it among the poor of your family." So he distributed it between Hazrat Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) and Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him).

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Love for women and perfume has been made dear to me from this world, and the coolness of my eyes has been placed in prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed me by saying, "O my beloved son."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that you people do such deeds which, in your eyes, are of less value than a hair, but we used to count them, in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), among the destructive things.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continuously, for six months, when passing near the house of Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) at the time of Fajr prayer, would say: O people of the household! Wake up for prayer. O people of the household! Allah wishes to remove impurity from you and to purify you thoroughly.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Four men will be taken out from Hell, and they will be presented before Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty will command that they be sent back to Hell. One of them will turn towards Allah Almighty and say: O Lord! I had hoped that if You are taking me out of Hell, then You would not send me back into it. Allah Almighty will grant him salvation.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while one of his noble wives was with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called her by name so that the man would understand that she was the Prophet’s wife. The man said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I could never think such a thing about you, even though I might think it about someone else." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Satan flows through a person like blood."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that some slave girls and children of the Ansar passed by in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (greeted them and) said: By Allah! I love you people.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Bara bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) used to chant the camel-driving songs for the men with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Anjasha (may Allah be pleased with him) for the women. Anjasha had a very beautiful voice. When he started chanting, the camels began to run swiftly. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Anjasha! Drive gently with the glass vessels."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a group of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the pure wives about the individual acts of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then one of them said, "I will never marry," the second said, "I will pray all night and avoid sleeping," and the third said, "I will always fast and never miss a day." When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of this, he said, "What is the matter with people that they say such things? I fast and also leave fasting, I pray and I also sleep, and I marry women. Now, whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not from me."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on one of the streets of Madinah Munawwarah, a woman met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I have a request from you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Sit in whichever street you wish, I will sit with you." So she sat at a place and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also sat with her and fulfilled her need.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that we used to talk among ourselves that the Day of Judgment will not be established until it happens that rain will fall from the sky but the earth will not produce crops, and fifty women will be under the responsibility of only one man, and a woman will pass by her husband and he, looking at her, will say: "Did this woman ever have a husband?"

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the people of Yemen came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they requested the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to send a man with them who would teach them the religion. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Hazrat Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him) with them and said, "He is the trustworthy one of this Ummah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Hunayn, Hazrat Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) was with Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him). Hazrat Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) had a dagger with her. Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) asked her, "What is this that you have with you?" She replied, "I have kept this with me so that if any polytheist comes near me, I will rip open his belly with it." Hearing this, he said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Just see what Umm Sulaim is saying." Hazrat Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) submitted, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Those people who deserted you and fled, i.e., the Tulaqa, have them killed." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Umm Sulaim! Allah has sufficed us and done so excellently."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hazrat Yusuf (peace be upon him) was given half of all beauty.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the three Caliphs (may Allah be pleased with them) used to begin the recitation in prayer with "Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil 'Alamin."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Last night I saw in a dream that it was as if I was in the house of Rafi‘ bin ‘Uqbah, and there were dates called 'Ibn Tab' presented before us. I interpreted this as follows: (from the word Rafi‘) elevation in this world, (from the word ‘Uqbah) the best outcome in the Hereafter is for us, and (from the word Tab) our religion is pure."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the prayer was established, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards us and said, "Straighten your rows and stand close together, for I see you from behind me as well."

Narrated to us by Affan, narrated to us by Hammad, from Humayd, from Anas, with the like of it, except that he said: "Align yourselves and stand close together."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No one has been harmed in the way of Allah as much as I have been harmed, and no one has been frightened in the way of Allah as much as I have been frightened. There was a time that three days and three nights passed by, and I did not have enough food for myself or my family that any living being with a liver could eat, except for what Bilal had under his arm.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the polytheists attacked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during the Battle of Uhud, at that time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was among seven Ansari and two Qurayshi companions (may Allah be pleased with them). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Who will keep them away from me, and he will be my companion in Paradise?" An Ansari stepped forward and began to fight until he was martyred. In this way, one by one, all seven Ansari companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were martyred. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his Qurayshi companions, "We have not done justice to our brothers."
