Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the nabidh (fermented drink) of a pitcher, so he replied that I have not heard anything about it from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). According to the narrator, Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) used to dislike it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that someone presented a silk garment as a gift to the Prophet (peace be upon him). People began to marvel at its beauty. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (peace be upon him), the handkerchiefs of Sa'd, which have been given to him in Paradise, are better and more excellent than this."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says, "I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he calls upon Me."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The nephew of a people is counted among them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fall asleep, then get up and perform prayer without renewing their ablution.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), four companions (may Allah be pleased with them) had memorized the entire Qur'an, and all four belonged to the Ansar: Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), Hazrat Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), and Hazrat Abu Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him). I asked about Abu Zaid, so he said that he was one of my uncles.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking while standing. I asked about eating (while standing), so he said: "That is even more severe than this."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Black Stone is a stone from Paradise.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the lightest and the most complete.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I will tell you a hadith which I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and after me, no one will narrate it to you. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that among the signs of the Day of Judgment is that the number of men will decrease and the number of women will increase.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet, the Master of both worlds, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Dajjal will come towards Madinah Munawwarah but will find angels guarding it; insha’Allah, neither the Dajjal will be able to enter Madinah nor the plague epidemic.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its expiation is to bury it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no reality in contagiousness of disease and evil omens, but I like optimism. I asked, "What is meant by optimism?" He replied, "A good word."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I and the Hour have been sent like these two fingers together." Saying this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards his index finger and middle finger.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Qunoot Nazilah after bowing in the Fajr prayer for a month and kept invoking curses upon the tribes of Ri'l, Dhakwan, and 'Usayyah, who had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Qunoot Nazilah after bowing in the Fajr prayer for a month and kept invoking curses upon the tribes of Ri'l, Dhakwan, and 'Usayyah, who had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you is praying, he is conversing with his Lord, so in this state none of you should spit to his right side, but rather spit to his left side or under his foot.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to show us much affection, to the extent that he would say to my younger brother, "O Abu Umair! What happened to the Nughair?"

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: The real good is the good of the Hereafter, or he would say: O Allah! There is no good except the good of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajireen.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the name of Allah and said takbeer while performing the sacrifice.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have offered prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and with the three Caliphs; these personalities would not begin their recitation with "Bismillah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the moon was split into two parts.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you can be a believer until Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anyone else, and a person dislikes returning to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it just as he dislikes being thrown into the fire. And none of you can be a believer until I am more beloved to him than his father, his children, and all people.

The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a false statement to me, he should make his abode in Hell. He said this twice.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him) married an Ansari woman for a gold piece equal to a date stone, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it permissible.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you can be a (true) Muslim until he likes for his brother what he likes for himself.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No person who enters Paradise will ever wish to leave Paradise, except the martyr, who will wish to return to the world and be martyred again in the way of Allah, because he will see the honor that has been bestowed upon him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the lightest and most complete.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was very fond of pumpkin. Once, food was presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or someone invited him, so since I knew that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked pumpkin, I kept separating it and placing it before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Bring more," until the Lord will place His foot in it. At that time, its parts will come together and contract, and it will say, "By Your honor! Enough, enough."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The straightening of the rows is the beauty of prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a false statement to me, he should make his abode in Hell.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that once there was a hailstorm in (Madina Munawwara). On that day, Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) was fasting. He began to pick up the hailstones and eat them. Someone said to him, "Are you eating this while fasting?" He replied, "This is a blessing."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer two white, horned rams as sacrifice, and he would mention the name of Allah and say Takbeer. I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would slaughter them with his own hand and would place his foot on their side.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Maintain moderation in prostrations, and none of you should spread his hands like a dog, and perform bowing and prostration completely. By Allah! When you bow and prostrate, I see you from behind me.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that one of his uncles testified before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about sighting the moon of Eid. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the people to break their fast and said that they should go out for the Eid prayer the next day.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the people of Banu Hawazin brought children, women, camels, and goats with them in the Battle of Hunayn. They made all of them stand in different rows to show their large numbers. When the battle started, the Muslims turned their backs and fled, as Allah Almighty has mentioned. At this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called out to the Muslims, "O servants of Allah! I am the servant and Messenger of Allah (here). O group of Ansar! I am the servant and Messenger of Allah (here)." After that, Allah granted victory to the Muslims and defeat to the disbelievers. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) announced that day that whoever kills a disbeliever, all his belongings will belong to the killer. Accordingly, Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) alone killed twenty disbelievers that day and took their belongings. Similarly, Hazrat Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! I struck a man on the rope of his shoulder; he was wearing armor. I managed to overpower him with great difficulty and saved my life. Please find out who has taken his belongings?" A man stood up and said, "I have taken those belongings, O Messenger of Allah! Please make him pleased with me on my behalf and give those belongings to me." The blessed habit of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was that if someone asked for something, he would give it or remain silent. On this occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent, but Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "By Allah! It cannot happen that Allah gives war booty to one of His lions and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gives it to you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and said, "Umar is telling the truth." In the Battle of Hunayn itself, Hazrat Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) had a dagger with her. Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) asked her, "What is this with you?" She replied, "I have kept this with me so that if any polytheist comes near me, I will rip open his belly with it." Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah! Did you hear what Umm Sulaym said?" Then she said, "O Messenger of Allah! Those people who ran away leaving you, have them killed." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Umm Sulaym! Allah Himself sufficed for us and dealt well with us."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the people of Banu Hawazin came with a very large force in the Battle of Hunayn. There were ten thousand or a little more people with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), among whom were also the Tulaqa (those recently freed from captivity). They, to show their numbers, made their animals and children stand in different rows. When the battle started, the Muslims turned their backs and fled. At this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) dismounted from his white mule and called out to the Muslims, "O servants of Allah! I am the servant and Messenger of Allah (here)!" Then, turning to the right side, he said, "O group of Ansar!" They replied, "Labbaik, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Be pleased, we are with you." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to the left side and said, "O group of Ansar!" They replied, "Labbaik, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Be pleased, we are with you." After this, Allah granted (the Muslims victory and) the disbelievers were defeated, and the Muslims obtained a great deal of spoils of war. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed that booty among the Tulaqa. At this, some of the Ansar began to say that at the time of attack we are called, and the spoils of war are given to others. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of this, he gathered the Ansar in a tent and said, "O group of Ansar! What is this matter that has reached me regarding you?" They remained silent. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated the same thing, and again they remained silent. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O group of Ansar! If people were to walk in one valley and the Ansar in another gorge, I would choose the path of the Ansar." Then he said, "Are you not pleased that people take the world and you return to your homes with the Messenger of Allah?" They replied, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! We are pleased." Hisham bin Zaid asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), "Were you present at that occasion?" He replied, "How could I be absent?"
