It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Near the Day of Judgment, people will frequently be struck by fainting spells, to such an extent that a man will come to the people and ask, "Who among you fainted first this morning?" and they will reply, "So-and-so and so-and-so."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was distributing something when Dhu al-Khuwaisirah al-Tamimi came and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Be just." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Wretched one! If I do not act justly, then who will?" Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Allow me to strike his neck?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Leave him, he has some companions; you will consider your prayers insignificant compared to their prayers, and your fasts insignificant compared to their fasts, but they will go out of the religion just as an arrow passes through the prey. A man takes his arrow, looks at its tip and finds nothing, then looks at its sinew and finds nothing, then looks at its shaft and finds nothing, then looks at its feathers and finds nothing. Among them will be a black man, on one of whose hands will be a mark like a woman's breast or like a chewed piece of flesh. These people will appear at the time of division among the people, and regarding them this verse was revealed: 'Among them are those who find fault with you concerning the (distribution of) charities.' Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) says, "I bear witness that I heard this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and I also bear witness that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) fought against these people, and I was with him, and a man with the same description as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had mentioned was brought."
Hadith 11622
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who wails and the woman who listens to people's conversations secretly.
Hadith 11623

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that we participated with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the battles of Fadak and Khyber. Allah granted victory to His Messenger on both occasions. The people ate garlic and onions in abundance. When it was time for prayer and they gathered in the mosque near the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was troubled by their smell. When the people ate it again, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not eat it. Whoever eats from it should not come near our gathering. Similarly, on the occasion of the battle of Khyber, people also obtained the meat of domesticated donkeys and put pots on the fire, and my pot was among them. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed of this, he said twice: I forbid you from this. Upon this, all the pots were overturned, and my pot was among them.
Hadith 11624
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, there comes such an hour that if a Muslim servant attains it while he is standing and offering prayer and asking Allah for goodness, then Allah surely grants him that thing. And Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) indicated with his hand while describing the brief state of that hour. When Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, I thought in my heart, "By Allah! If I go to Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), I will surely ask him about this hour; perhaps he knows about it." So, once I went to him and saw that he was straightening sticks. I asked him, "O Abu Saeed! What are these sticks that I see you straightening?" He replied, "These are the sticks in which Allah has placed blessings for us. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to like them and would keep them hidden. We would straighten them and bring them to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Once, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw spit on the Qiblah side of the mosque. At that time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had one of these sticks in his hand. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cleaned it with that stick and said: When any of you is in prayer, he should not spit in front of him, for his Lord is in front of him; rather, he should spit to his left or under his foot." Then, that very night, there was a heavy rain. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out for the Isha prayer, suddenly there was a flash of lightning, and in it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Hazrat Qatadah bin Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Qatadah! What was the need to come at this hour of the night (in this rain)?" He replied, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I knew that very few people would come for the prayer today, so I thought I should join the prayer." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When you have finished praying, stop until I pass by you." So, after finishing the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) a stick and said, "Take this; it will give you light ten steps ahead and ten steps behind. Then, when you enter your house and see the shadow of a person in any corner, before he speaks, strike him with this stick, for he will be a devil." So he did as instructed, and for this reason, we like these sticks. I asked, "O Abu Saeed! Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to us a hadith regarding the hour of Friday. Do you know about this hour?" He replied, "I had asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this hour, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'At first, that hour was shown to me, but then it was made to be forgotten, just like Laylatul Qadr.'" Abu Salamah says: Then I left from there and went to Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith 11625
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, it is obligatory for every adult person to perform ghusl (ritual bath), and that he should wear fine clothes on this day, and if available, he should also apply perfume.
Hadith 11626
It was reported to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) used to give the verdict that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: No woman should undertake a journey of three days without a mahram.

Amr bin Thabit says that once Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by him. He asked Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "O Abu Abdur Rahman! Where are you intending to go?" He replied, "I am going to Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)." I also started walking with him. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "O Abu Saeed! I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbidding the eating of sacrificial meat, certain drinks, and visiting graveyards. But I have heard that you narrate a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this." He replied, "I heard with my own ears the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: 'I had forbidden you from keeping the meat of sacrifice (for more than three days), but now you may eat it and store it, for Allah has granted abundance. And I had forbidden you from certain drinks and nabidh, but now you may drink them, but (remember) every intoxicant is forbidden. And I had forbidden you from visiting graveyards, but now if you go there, do not utter any indecent words.'"

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, we used to inform the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about people who were near death. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would go to them, supplicate for their forgiveness, and remain seated with them until they passed away, which sometimes took a very long time and caused hardship for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Eventually, we thought that it would be easier for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) if we did not inform him before someone died. Thus, after that, we adopted the practice that when any one of us passed away, only then would we inform the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would come to the family of the deceased, supplicate for their forgiveness, and lead their funeral prayer. Then, if he deemed it appropriate to stay, he would stay; otherwise, he would return. For some time, we continued to act upon this second practice. Then we thought that it would be easier for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) if we brought the funeral near the house of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) without specifying or identifying it. So, we started doing this, and this practice has continued up to now.
Hadith 11629
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Ibn Sayyad, "What do you see?" He said, "I see a throne on the sea, around which there are snakes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He is seeing the throne of Iblis."
Hadith 11630
The previous hadith is also narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) through this second chain of transmission.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! There is an abundance of lizards in our area, what command do you give us regarding this?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has been mentioned before me that a group among the Children of Israel was transformed, but I do not know which animal it was." And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) neither commanded to eat it nor forbade it.

I heard that he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade performing prayer after the Fajr prayer until sunrise and after the Asr prayer until sunset, fasting on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, and combining a woman and her maternal aunt or a woman and her paternal aunt in marriage at the same time.
Hadith 11638
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of Muzabana and Muhaqala. (Muzabana refers to making a transaction by measuring the fruits on the trees in exchange for harvested dates, and Muhaqala means giving land on rent.)

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) dispatched an army under the leadership of Alqamah bin Mujazziz (may Allah be pleased with him), in which I was also included. When we reached our destination or were on the way, Hazrat Alqamah (may Allah be pleased with him), upon the request of some people, allowed them to return and appointed Hazrat Abdullah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a participant of Badr and had a humorous nature, as their leader. I was also among those who returned with them. On the way, we camped at a place and the people lit a fire either to cook food or to ward off the cold. Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the people, "Is it not obligatory upon you to listen to and obey me?" The people replied, "Why not?" He said, "Will you do whatever I command you?" They replied, "Why not?" Upon this, he said, "I command you, by my right and your oath of obedience, to jump into this fire." The people stood up and began to prepare themselves to jump into the fire. When he saw that they were actually about to jump into the fire, he said, "Stop! I was only joking with you." Upon their return, the people mentioned this incident to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not obey anyone who commands you to commit a sinful act."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once fresh "Riyan" dates were presented to the Prophet (peace be upon him). Usually, only dry "Ba'l" dates would come to the Prophet (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Where did you get these from?" He replied, "We exchanged two sa' of our dates for one sa' of these superior dates." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "This method is not correct. The correct way is that you sell your dates, and then buy the dates you need."
Hadith 11641
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the punishment for drinking alcohol was forty lashes with shoes, then during the time of Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), whips were prescribed instead of shoes.
Hadith 11642

Saeed bin Khalid says that once I went to Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him), he brought butter and a bunch of dates for us. Suddenly, a fly fell into the food. He dipped it with his finger. I said to him, "Uncle! What are you doing?" He said, "Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me this hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): In one wing of the fly there is poison and in the other there is cure. So if a fly falls into the food, dip it well in it, because it puts the wing with poison first and keeps the wing with cure behind."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of the Trench, we did not get the opportunity to perform the prayers, to the extent that even after Maghrib some time had passed. When our sufficiency in the matter of fighting was achieved—meaning Allah had said that Allah will suffice the Muslims in fighting, and Allah is Powerful and Mighty—then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and he gave the iqamah for Zuhr. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer as he would lead it at its usual time. Then, after having the iqamah called, he led the Asr prayer in the same way as he would at its time, and likewise, he led the Maghrib prayer as he would at its own time. Up to that time, the command for the prayer of fear had not been revealed.

Ma'bad bin Sirin says that once I asked Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) whether he had heard anything from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding 'azl (withdrawal). He replied, "Yes! We asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about 'azl, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'What is that?' We explained that a man's wife is breastfeeding a child, and during that time he approaches her, but he does not like her to become pregnant again, so he discharges outside. Similarly, a man may have a slave woman and no other wealth besides her; he approaches her but does not like her to become pregnant, so he practices 'azl. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'If you do not do so, it will not make any difference, because the coming of children is connected to destiny.'"
Hadith 11646
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among the Children of Israel, a woman had a gold ring made and filled musk beneath its gem, and musk is the best of all fragrances.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a piece of gold from Yemen wrapped in a tanned hide, "whose soil had not been spoiled," to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed it among Zaid al-Khair, Qura’ bin Habis, Uyaina bin Hisn, and Alqama bin Ulatha or Amir bin Tufail—four men. Some of the Qurayshi companions and the Ansar, etc., felt uneasy about this, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was giving to the chiefs of Najd and leaving us out. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: In the meantime, a man with deep-set eyes, red cheeks, a broad forehead, a thick beard, his lower garment raised high, and his head shaved, came and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Fear Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If I begin to disobey Allah, then who will obey Him? Should Allah appoint me as a trustee over the people of the earth, and you cannot trust me?" It is likely that Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Allow me to strike his neck?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped him, and when the man left, he said, "From the progeny of this man, there will come a people who will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats, and they will leave the religion as an arrow leaves its prey. They will kill the Muslims and leave the idol-worshippers. If I find them, I will kill them like the people of 'Ad were killed."
Hadith 11649
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade employing anyone for wages until his wage was made clear, and he also forbade deception in trade, and selling with the condition of touching (the goods) or throwing a stone.
Hadith 11650
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The truest dreams are those that are seen at the time of Sahar (pre-dawn).

And it is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will say: Soon those gathered here will know who the honorable people are. And it is narrated with the previous chain that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Remember Allah so much that people begin to call you insane.

Ghiyath Bakri, may Allah have mercy on him, says that we used to attend the gathering of Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, in Madinah Munawwarah. Once, I asked him about the Seal of Prophethood of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "which was between his two shoulders." He pointed with his index finger and said that between the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) two shoulders was a piece of flesh, filled and raised, of about this size.
Hadith 11657
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began the prayer by saying Allahu Akbar, he would say: Subhanak Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabaarakasmuka wa ta’ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghayruk.
Hadith 11658
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Jumu'ah, it is obligatory upon every adult person to perform ghusl, use the miswak, and apply perfume according to his means, even if it is from his own house.
Hadith 11659
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: Whoever patiently endures the hardships and difficulties of Madinah, I will intercede for him on the Day of Resurrection.
