Hadith 10068
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ لَسَاعَةً لَا يُوَافِقُهَا رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ فِيهَا خَيْرًا ، إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ " .
And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the day of Friday, there comes such an hour that if a Muslim servant happens to encounter it while asking Allah for goodness, then Allah surely grants him that thing.
Hadith 10069
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَمَا يَخْشَى ، أَحَدُكُمْ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ وَالْإِمَامُ سَاجِدٌ ، أَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى رَأْسَهُ رَأْسَ حِمَارٍ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that I heard Abu al-Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: Does the person who raises his head before the imam, while the imam is still in prostration, not fear that Allah may turn his head into that of a donkey?
Hadith 10070
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم " يَتَعَوَّذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا ، وَالْمَمَاتِ ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ " .
It is narrated with the same chain that I heard Abul Qasim (peace be upon him) saying: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the trial of the False Messiah (Dajjal), and from the trials of life and death.
Hadith 10071
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ قَارِظٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتْ النَّارُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Perform ablution after eating something cooked on fire.
Hadith 10072
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ الْأَخِيرَةِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ ، قَنَتَ ، وَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ َنْجِ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ ، اللَّهُمَّ َنْجِ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ ، اللَّهُمَّ َنْجِ عَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ ، اللَّهُمَّ َنْجِ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ وَطْأَتَكَ عَلَى مُضَرَ ، اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا سِنِينَ كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise his head from the bowing (ruku) in the last unit (rak'ah) of the Isha prayer, he would supplicate: O Allah! Grant deliverance to Walid bin Walid, Salamah bin Hisham, Ayyash bin Abi Rabi’ah, and the other weak ones in Makkah Mukarramah from the oppression and tyranny of the Quraysh. O Allah! Seize the tribe of Mudar with a severe grip and inflict upon them a famine like that during the time of Yusuf (peace be upon him).
Hadith 10073
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى , عَنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، قََالَ : كَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ : " لَأُقَرِّبَنَّ بِكُمْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَكَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقْنُتُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ، بَعْدَمَا يَقُول : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ ، وَيَدْعُو لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَيَلْعَنُ الْكَافِرِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that, by Allah! In prayer, I am the closest among all of you to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Abu Salamah says that Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite Qunoot Nazilah after saying "Sami' Allahu liman Hamidah" in the last rak'ah of Zuhr, Isha, and Fajr prayers, in which he would supplicate for the Muslims and invoke curses upon the disbelievers.
Hadith 10074
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَصْدَقُ كَلِمَةٍ قَالَهَا شَاعِرٌ ، كَلِمَةُ لَبِيدٍ : أَلَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ " ، وَكَادَ أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ أَنْ يُسْلِمَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The truest verse ever spoken by a poet is this: "Behold! Everything besides Allah is false (perishable)." And it was near that Umayyah bin Abi al-Salt would have accepted Islam.
Hadith 10075
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ فِي عَبْدِهِ وَلَا فِي فَرَسِهِ صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no zakat on a Muslim's horse and slave.
Hadith 10076
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ مَاتَ ، فَقَالُوا : خَيْرًا ، وَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهِ خَيْرًا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَجَبَتْ " ، وَذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ ، فَقَالُوا شَرًّا ، وَأَثْنَوْا شَرًّا ، فَقَالَ : النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " وَجَبَتْ " ، قَالَ : " أَنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, in the presence of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), mention was made of a deceased man. People began to speak of his good qualities and praised him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has become obligatory." Meanwhile, mention was made of another man, and people spoke of his bad qualities and criticized him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It has become obligatory." Then he said, "You are Allah's witnesses on earth."
Hadith 10077
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، عَنِ أَبِيه ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَسَمَّوْا بِاسْمِي ، وَلَا تَكَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Name yourselves after me, but do not take my kunya (patronymic) as your kunya."
Hadith 10078
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَلِيمٌ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ مِنْ أَكْذَبِ الْحَدِيثِ ، وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا ، وَلَا تَحَسَّسُوا ، وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا ، وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا ، وَلَا تَنَافَسُوا ، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا ، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Guard yourselves against suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech. Do not spy on one another, do not seek out each other's faults, do not compete with one another, do not deceive one another, do not sever ties of kinship, do not harbor enmity, and O servants of Allah! Be brothers to one another."
Hadith 10079
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ كُتِبَ لَهُ قِيرَاطٌ ، فَإِنْ تَبِعَهَا حَتَّى يُقْضَى دَفْنُهَا ، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ أَصْغَرُهُمَا أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ " ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ فَتَعَاظَمَهُ ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ : صَدَقَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : لَقَدْ فَرَّطْنَا فِي قَرَارِيطَ كَثِيرَة .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer for someone will receive a reward equal to one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed will receive a reward equal to two qirats, the smallest of which is equal to Mount Uhud. When Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) learned of this hadith, he considered it very important and sent a man to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to inquire about it. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that Abu Huraira speaks the truth. Upon this, Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: In this way, we have lost many qirats.
Hadith 10080
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبٌ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُطَوِّسِ ، فَلَقِيتُ ابْنَ الْمُطَوِّسِ فَحَدَّثَنِي , عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَفْطَرَ يَوْمًا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ رُخْصَةٍ رَخَّصَهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، لَمْ يَقْضِ عَنْهُ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ ، وَإِنْ صَامَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever leaves or breaks one fast of Ramadan without a valid excuse, then even if he fasts for his entire life, it will not compensate for that one fast.
Hadith 10081
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ الْمُطَوِّسِ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَفْطَرَ يَوْمًا فِي رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَرَضٍ وَلَا رُخْصَةٍ ، لَمْ يَقْضِ عَنْهُ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ كُلِّهِ ، وَإِنْ صَامَهُ " ، قَالَ سُفْيَان : قَالَ حَبِيبٌ : حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ ، عَنِ أَبِي الْمُطَوِّس ، فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا الْمُطَوِّسِ فَحَدَّثَنِي . حَدَّثَنَاه أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، فَقَالَ : أَبُو الْمُطَوِّس .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever leaves or breaks one fast of Ramadan without a valid excuse, then even if he fasts for his entire life, it will not compensate for that one fast.
Hadith 10082
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُطَوِّسِ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ , فَذَكَرَ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
Hadith 10083
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ أَشْعَثَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا جَلَسَ بَيْنَ شُعَبِهَا الْأَرْبَعِ وَاجْتَهَدَ ، فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْغُسْلُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a man sits between the four corners of his wife and makes an effort, then ghusl becomes obligatory upon him.
Hadith 10084
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَة ، َعَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم سُئِلَ عَنْ أَطْفَالِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ، فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the ruling regarding the children of polytheists who die in infancy was asked from the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah knows best what deeds they would have done when they grew up.
Hadith 10085
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : لَقِيَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَهُوَ فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، فَانْخَنَسْتُ فَذَهَبْتُ فَاغْتَسَلْتُ ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ ، فَقَالَ : " أَيْنَ كُنْتَ ؟ " قَالَ : كُنْتَ لَقِيتَنِي وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ ، فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أُجَالِسَكَ عَلَى غَيْرِ طَهَارَةٍ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ لَا يَنْجُسُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, while I was in a state of impurity, I met the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I continued walking with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until he sat down at a place. Taking the opportunity, I slipped away from behind and went to my tent, performed ghusl (ritual bath), and then returned to the presence of the Prophet. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was still sitting there. Upon seeing me, he asked, "Where did you go?" I replied, "When I met you, I was in a state of impurity. I did not feel it appropriate to sit with you in that state, so I left and performed ghusl (and have now come back to your service)." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "A believer does not become impure."
Hadith 10086
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَثَّ عَلَى الصَّدَقَة ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ " ، قَال : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ آخَرُ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى زَوْجَتِكَ " ، قَالَ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ آخَرُ ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى وَلَدِكَ " ، قَالَ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ آخَر ، قَالَ : " تَصَدَّقْ بِهِ عَلَى خَادِمِكَ " ، قَالَ : عِنْدِي دِينَارٌ آخَرُ ، قَال ، " أَنْتَ أَبْصَرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged the people to give charity. A man said, "What if I have only one dinar?" He replied, "Give it in charity to yourself." He asked, "What if I have one more dinar?" He replied, "Give it in charity to your wife." He asked, "What if I have one more dinar?" He replied, "Give it in charity to your child." He asked, "What if I have one more dinar?" He replied, "Give it in charity to your servant." He asked, "What if I have one more dinar?" He replied, "You know best."
Hadith 10087
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , أَوْ عَنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ شَكَّ الْأَعْمَشُ ، قََالَ : " يُقَالُ لِصَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ : اقْرَهْ وَارْقَهْ ، فَإِنَّ مَنْزِلَتَكَ عِنْدَ آخِرِ آيَةٍ تَقْرَؤُهَا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) or Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the Day of Resurrection, it will be said to the bearer of the Qur'an: "Keep reciting and keep ascending; your place will be at the last verse you recite."
Hadith 10088
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ . وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ , قََالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبَّادٌ , الْمَعْنَى ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يَقُولُ : قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ : عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قال : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقْبَلُ الصَّدَقَاتِ ، وَيَأْخُذُهَا بِيَمِينِهِ ، فَيُرَبِّيهَا لِأَحَدِكُمْ كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ مُهْرَهُ أَوْ فَلُوَّهُ أَوْ فَصِيلَهُ ، حَتَّى إِنَّ اللُّقْمَةَ لَتَصِيرُ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ " ، وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ : فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وَتَصْدِيقُ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ : وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ سورة الشورى آية 25 وَيَأْخُذُ الصَّدَقَاتِ ، وَ يَمْحَقُ اللَّهُ الرِّبَا وَيُرْبِي الصَّدَقَاتِ سورة البقرة آية 276 .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a servant gives charity from lawful wealth, Allah accepts it and takes it in His right hand, and just as one of you raises and nurtures his young goat, in the same way Allah nurtures it. And when a person gives a morsel in charity, in the hand of Allah it keeps increasing until that morsel becomes as large as a mountain.
Hadith 10089
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ ، وَمَنْ أَطَاعَ الْإِمَامَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَنِي ، وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ ، وَمَنْ عَصَى الْإِمَامَ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever obeys me has indeed obeyed Allah, and whoever obeys the leader has obeyed me, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys the leader has disobeyed Allah.
Hadith 10090
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , وَبَهْزٌ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، قََالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ , عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ يَمِيلُ مَعَ إِحْدَاهُمَا عَلَى الْأُخْرَى ، جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَحَدُ شِقَّيْهِ سَاقِطٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has two wives and inclines towards one over the other (acts unjustly), he will come on the Day of Resurrection with half of his body paralyzed.
Hadith 10091
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , وَأَبِي رَزِينٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَفَعَهُ كَذَا , قََالَ : الْأَعْمَشُ قََالَ : " إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ ، فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu’ form that when any one of you wakes up from his sleep, he should not put his hand into a vessel until he has washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand was during the night.
Hadith 10092
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى قَوْمًا يَتَوَضَّئُونَ مِنَ الْمَطْهَرَةِ ، فَقَالَ : أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَاقِيبِ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
Muhammad bin Ziyad says that once Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by some people who were performing ablution. Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Perform ablution thoroughly, for I heard Abul Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Woe to the heels from the fire of Hell.'"
Hadith 10093
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا وُضُوءَ إِلَّا مِنْ صَوْتٍ أَوْ رِيحٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ablution becomes obligatory only when a sound is heard or wind is passed.
Hadith 10094
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ الْأَوْدِيُّ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَقُومَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَبِهِ أَذًى مِنْ غَائِطٍ أَوْ بَوْلٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When someone feels the need to urinate or defecate, he should not stand for prayer.
Hadith 10095
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، قََالَ : خَرَجَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ بَعْدَ مَا أُذِّنَ فِيهِ بِالْعَصْرِ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ : " أَمَّا هَذَا فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Abu Al-Sha’tha’ Muharibi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once, after the call to prayer for Asr, a man stood up and left the mosque. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This man has disobeyed Abu Al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 10096
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَوْدُودٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي حَدْرَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا بَزَقَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي مَسْجِدِي أَوْ الْمَسْجِدِ فَلْيَحْفِرْ وَلْيُعَمِّق ، أَوْ لِيَبْزُقْ فِي ثَوْبِهِ حَتَّى يُخْرِجَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If any one of you wants to spit in the mosque, he should dig the earth well, otherwise he should spit into his garment.
Hadith 10097
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، قََالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ " صَلَّى صَلَاةً تَجَوَّزَ فِيهَا ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : هَكَذَا كَانَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ , وَأَوْجَزَ " .
Abu Khalid (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I saw Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) performing a short prayer, so I asked him, "Did the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also pray like this?" Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, "Yes! In fact, even shorter than this."
Hadith 10098
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ ، وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ ، اللَّهُمَّ أَرْشِدْ الْأَئِمَّةَ ، وَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The imam is responsible and the muezzin is trustworthy. O Allah, guide the imams and forgive the muezzins.
Hadith 10099
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَجَوَّزُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفَ وَالْكَبِيرَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: (When you lead the prayer as an imam) make the prayer light, because among the worshippers are the elderly, the weak, and those who have needs.
Hadith 10100
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ , عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ أَثْقَلَ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمُنَافِقِينَ ، صَلَاةُ الْعِشَاءِ وَالْفَجْرِ ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهِمَا لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The Fajr and Isha prayers are the heaviest on the hypocrites, and if they knew the reward of these two, they would surely attend them even if they had to come crawling on their knees.
Hadith 10101
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ فِتْيَتِي فَيَجْمَعُوا حُزَمَ الْحَطَبِ ، ثُمَّ آمُرَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَتُقَامَ ، ثُمَّ أُحَرِّقَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الصَّلَاةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I wish to order my young men to collect bundles of wood, then order a man to lead the prayer, and then go to those people who do not participate in the congregational prayer and set fire to their houses with those bundles of wood.
Hadith 10102
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ , وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ , قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هُرْمُزَ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ " يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفَجْرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ : الم تَنْزِيلُ , وَهَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah As-Sajdah and Surah Ad-Dahr in the Fajr prayer on Friday.
Hadith 10103
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , الْمَعْنَى ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَتَيْتُمْ الصَّلَاة ، فَأْتُوهَا بِالْوَقَارِ وَالسَّكِينَةِ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا ، وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When you come for prayer, come with calmness and tranquility. Whatever part of the prayer you catch, perform it, and whatever you miss, complete it.
Hadith 10104
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " أَمَا يَخَافُ الَّذِي يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ قَبْلَ الْإِمَامِ ، أَنْ يُحَوَّلَ رَأْسُهُ رَأْسَ حِمَارٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Does the person who raises his head before the Imam, while the Imam is still in prostration, not fear that Allah may turn his head into that of a donkey?
Hadith 10105
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ مَوْلًى لِقُرَيْشٍ ، قََالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ , يُحَدِّثُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ، قََالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ حَتَّى يَحْتَزِمَ " . قَال : وَسَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُهُ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَغَانِمِ حَتَّى تُقْسَمَ " , قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : قَالَ مَرَّةً : وَيُعْلَمَ مَا هِيَ . قَالَ : " وَنَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ ، حَتَّى تُحْرَزَ مِنْ كُلِّ عَارِضٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade performing prayer before tightening the waist-belt. It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade buying and selling of war booty before its distribution. And that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the buying and selling of fruits before they are safe from every calamity.
Hadith 10106
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، قََالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَكْمَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا ، وَخِيَارُكُمْ خِيَارُكُمْ لِنِسَائِكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Among all Muslims, those with the most perfect faith are those who have the best character, and the best among you are those who are best to their women.
Hadith 10107
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ ، عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , قََالَ : قََالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِقْصًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ ، فَعَلَيْهِ خَلَاصُهُ كُلِّهِ فِي مَالِهِ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ ، اسْتُسْعِيَ الْعَبْدُ غَيْرَ مَشْقُوقٍ عَلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a person has a partnership in a slave and he frees his share of the slave, then if he is wealthy, it is his responsibility to pay the full price for the slave’s freedom. And if he is not wealthy, then the slave should be made to work in such a way to pay the remaining price that it does not become a burden on him (and after paying the remaining price, he will become completely free).
