It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best charity is that which leaves something behind (do not spend all your wealth). The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and you should begin giving charity with those who are under your responsibility. Someone asked Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) about the individuals under one’s responsibility, so he replied: Your wife says, “Feed me or divorce me.” The servant says, “Feed me or sell me to someone else.” The children say, “Whose care are you leaving us in?”

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A companion passed by a place where there was a spring of sweet water, and he liked the climate there. He thought to himself, "I will settle here and live in seclusion." Then he thought, "No, I will first ask the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." So he came and asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Participating in jihad in the way of Allah by any one of you is far better than worshipping continuously for sixty years while living with your family. Do you not wish that Allah should forgive you and admit you to Paradise? Strive in the way of Allah. Whoever strives in the way of Allah even to the extent of the time it takes for milk to flow from a she-camel’s udder, Paradise becomes obligatory for him.
Hadith 10787
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a dispute between two men regarding an animal, but neither of them had any witnesses to prove their ownership. The people who have an abundance of wealth have been ruined, except for those who distribute it with both hands, to the right, to the left, and in front, but such people are very few. Then after walking for a while, he said: Abu Hurairah! Shall I not tell you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise? I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), why not? He said: Say, "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah wa la malja'a min Allah illa ilayh." Then after walking for a while, he said: Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), do you know what right people have over Allah, and what right Allah has over people? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah's right over people is that they worship Him alone and do not associate anything with Him, and when they do this, their right over Allah is that He does not punish them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are four things from the time of ignorance that people will never abandon: finding fault with lineage, wailing over the dead, attributing rain to the stars, and considering disease to be contagious. If a camel gets scabies and infects a hundred other camels, then who infected the first camel with scabies?

You are the One Who brings forward and delays, and there is no deity except You.
Hadith 10812

Someone asked Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) about the individuals under one's responsibility, so he replied: Your wife says, "Feed me or divorce me." The servant says, "Feed me or sell me to someone else." The children say, "In whose care are you leaving us?"
