It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No woman should touch her naked body with another woman, so that she describes her physical features to her husband in such a way as if he is seeing her with his own eyes."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform Hajj and Umrah consecutively, for indeed they remove poverty and sins just as a furnace removes impurities from iron, gold, and silver. And the reward for an accepted Hajj is nothing except Paradise."
Hadith 3670
Abu Abdur Rahman says that once Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and as soon as he said this, the color of his face changed and he said: He said this or something close to it (as a precaution).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Have modesty before Allah as is His due." We said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! All praise is for Allah, we do have modesty before Allah. He said: "That is not what I mean. Rather, whoever truly has modesty before Allah as is His due, he should guard his head and what it contains, his stomach and what it gathers, and remember death and decay. Whoever seeks the Hereafter leaves the adornment of the world. Whoever does this has indeed fulfilled the right of modesty before Allah in its true sense."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Just as Allah has distributed your sustenance among you, so has He distributed your character. Allah gives the world to both those whom He loves and those whom He does not love, but He gives religion only to those whom He loves. Therefore, whoever Allah has granted religion, let him know that Allah loves him. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, no person can be a Muslim until both his heart and tongue become Muslim, and no person can be a believer until his neighbor is safe and secure from his 'bawa’iq'." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what is meant by 'bawa’iq'?" He replied: "Oppression and injustice. And there is no person who acquires unlawful wealth and spends from it, and then there is blessing in it, or gives charity from it and it is accepted, and whatever he leaves behind will only add to the fire of Hell. Allah does not erase sin with another sin; rather, He erases sin with goodness and virtue. Filth is not removed by filth."
Hadith 3673
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the last third of the night remains, Allah, in a manner befitting His Majesty, descends to the lowest heaven. The gates of the heavens are opened, and Allah spreads out His hands and says: 'Is there anyone who asks so that his request may be granted?' And this continues until the break of dawn."
Hadith 3674
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the first cases to be decided among the people will be those of murder."
Hadith 3675
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever begs while he has enough to meet his needs, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his face scratched." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What is meant by 'enough to meet his needs'? He said: "Fifty dirhams or its equivalent in gold."
Hadith 3676
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not buy a fish that is still in the water, because this is a transaction based on deception."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will send a caller to proclaim: O Adam! Allah commands you to send forth from your descendants those destined for Hellfire." He will ask: "O Lord! How many out of how many?" It will be said: "From every hundred, ninety-nine." Upon hearing this, a man said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Then who among us will be saved after that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you know what your proportion will be among the people? You will be like the white spot on the hump of a black camel."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a servant or worker brings food to any one of you, he should let him eat from it first, or make him sit with him, because he has endured its heat and smoke."
Hadith 3681
Alqamah narrates that on one occasion Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Shall I not lead you in prayer as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray?" Then he led them in prayer and raised his hands only once during it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was walking with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a field in Madinah Munawwarah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was walking, leaning on his staff. While walking, we passed by a group of Jews. They began saying to one another, "Ask him about the soul," but some among them forbade the others from asking. In short, they asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the soul and said, "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), what is the soul?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood, leaning on his staff, and I realized that revelation was descending upon him. When that state ended, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: «﴿وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الرُّوحِ قُلِ الرُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّي وَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا﴾ [الإسراء : 85]» "They ask you concerning the soul. Say: The soul is of the command of my Lord, and you have been given only a little knowledge." Hearing this, they began saying to one another, "Did we not say, do not ask him?"

Huzail bin Shurahbeel says that once a man came to Sayyiduna Abu Musa and Sayyiduna Salman bin Rabee’ah (may Allah be pleased with them) and asked them this issue: If a person’s heirs include a daughter, a granddaughter, and a real sister, how will the inheritance be distributed? Both of them replied that half of the total wealth will go to the daughter and the other half to the sister, and you should also go to Sayyiduna Ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) and ask him this issue; he will agree with and support us. So that man went to Sayyiduna Ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him the issue and also mentioned the answer of the aforementioned gentlemen. Sayyiduna Ibn Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If I also give the same verdict, then I will go astray and will not remain among the rightly guided. I will give the same decision that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave: the daughter will get half of the total wealth, the granddaughter will get one-sixth so that two-thirds are completed, and whatever remains will go to the sister.
Hadith 3692
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to supplicate: «اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعِفَّةَ وَالْغِنَى» "O Allah! I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency (freedom from need before the creation)."
Hadith 3693
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever two things were presented before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) would choose the one which was more guided and rightly directed.

Whoever among you reaches that time should fear Allah, enjoin good, and forbid evil. And whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me should make his abode in Hell."

Abu Wa'il says that I was once sitting with Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud and Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with them). Both of these noble companions said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Near the Day of Judgment, ignorance will descend, knowledge will be taken away, and 'harj' will become widespread." We asked about the meaning of 'harj', so he said: "Killing."
Hadith 3696
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is faced with a need and begins to present it before people, he deserves that his matter not be made easy. And whoever presents it before Allah, Allah will grant him immediate provision or a delayed death."
Hadith 3697
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I have recited seventy surahs after hearing them from the blessed mouth of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) was among the scribes of revelation who had sheep.

Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I was present with Sayyiduna Miqdad bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) — and being his companion was more beloved to me than anything else. He went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and, after cursing the polytheists, said: O Messenger of Allah! By Allah! We will not say as the Children of Israel said to Musa (peace be upon him): "You and your Lord go and fight, we are sitting here." Rather, we will fight on your right, your left, in front of you, and behind you. I saw that the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was shining with happiness.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) was making this supplication: "O Allah! Grant me benefit from my noble husband, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), my father Abu Sufyan, and my brother Mu'awiyah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard her supplication and said: "You have asked Allah for a fixed term, a few numbered days, and apportioned sustenance. None of these things can reach you before their appointed time, nor can they be delayed beyond their fixed time. If you had supplicated to Allah to protect you from the punishment of Hell and the punishment of the grave, that would have been better and more virtuous." The narrator says that once it was mentioned before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that monkeys are the transformed form of humans. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has never left any progeny of the people whose forms He transformed; whereas monkeys and pigs have existed from before."

They asked again, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) again remained silent. After a while, he said, "Cauterize him and apply heated stones."
