Abdur Rahman bin Sabit says that once Hafsa bint Abdur Rahman was visiting me. I said to her, "I want to ask you a question, but I feel shy to ask." She said, "Nephew, do not be shy." I said, "What is the ruling about approaching women from the back?" She replied, "Umm Salamah told me that the men of the Ansar did not approach their women from the back, because the Jews used to say that whoever approaches his wife from behind, his offspring will be cross-eyed. When the Muhajirun came to Madinah, they also married Ansari women and would approach them from behind. But one woman refused to obey her husband in this matter and said, 'You cannot do this until I ask the Prophet (peace be upon him) about its ruling.' So that woman came to Umm Salamah and mentioned it to her. Umm Salamah said, 'Sit down, the Prophet (peace be upon him) will be here soon.' When the Prophet (peace be upon him) arrived, the woman felt shy to ask this question and left. Later, Umm Salamah informed the Prophet (peace be upon him) about this matter. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, 'Call that Ansari woman!' So she was called, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) recited this verse before her: 'Your wives are your fields, so come to your field as you wish,' and said, 'In the front opening (whether the man comes from behind or from the front).'

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You bring your disputes to me, and it is possible that one of you may present his argument with such eloquence and clarity compared to the other that I may decide in his favor based on what I hear. (Therefore, remember) if I decide in someone's favor, accepting his statement, and thus grant him something that rightfully belongs to his brother, then let him know that I am cutting a piece of fire for him and giving it to him. So he should not take it.

" إِنَّ لَكِ عَلَى أَهْلِكِ كَرَامَةً ، فَإِنْ شِئْتِ سَبَّعْتُ لَكِ ، فَإِنْ أُسَبِّعْ لَكِ ، أُسَبِّعْ لِنِسَائِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when she came to Madinah Munawwarah, she informed the people that she was the daughter of Abu Umayyah bin Mughirah, but the people did not accept her statement and said, "What a great lie this is." Then, when some people were about to leave for Hajj, she was asked, "Do you want to write something to your family?" She wrote a letter and sent it through them. When those people returned to Madinah, they began to confirm the identity of Hazrat Umm Salamah and her respect increased. She says that when Zainab was born to me, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and proposed marriage. I said, "Is marriage contracted with women like me? I am old in age, I am very jealous, and I have children." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I am older than you in age. As for jealousy, Allah will remove it, and as for the children, they are under the responsibility of Allah and His Messenger." Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married her. After that, whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would come to her for privacy, as soon as she saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), she would grab her daughter Zainab and seat her in her lap, and eventually the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would leave in the same way. When Hazrat Ammar bin Yasir, who was the foster brother of Hazrat Umm Salamah, came to know of this, he came to Hazrat Umm Salamah and said, "Where is that dirty girl through whom you have been causing pain to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" and he took her away with him. This time, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and entered the house, he looked around all four corners of the room and then asked about the girl, "Where is Zanab (Zainab)?" She replied, "Hazrat Ammar came and took her with him." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had privacy with her and said, "If you wish, I will spend seven days with you, but then I will also spend seven days with each of my other wives."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Some of my companions will be such that after our separation, they will never see me again." When Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf went out, he met Hazrat Umar on the way and told him about this. Hazrat Umar himself went to Hazrat Umm Salamah and entered the house, and said, "Swear by Allah and tell me, am I also among them?" She replied, "No, but after you, I cannot say this about anyone else."
Hadith 26622
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the meat of the shoulder. During this, Hazrat Bilal came, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) went for prayer without touching water.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha and Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with them) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would be in a state of janabah in the morning without having seen a dream, by his own choice, and he would complete his fast.

Ya'la bin Mamlak says that I asked Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) about the night prayer and recitation of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so she said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) would perform the 'Isha prayer and after that pray the voluntary prayers and then go to sleep. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would sleep for as long as he prayed, and he would pray for as long as he slept. Then the end of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) prayer would be at the time of morning.

Abu Bakr says that I heard Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The person who enters the morning in a state that requires ghusl (ritual bath), his fast is not valid." After some time, I went with my father to the service of Hazrat Umm Salamah and Hazrat Aisha, and they informed us that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would sometimes enter the morning in a state that required ghusl by choice and would still fast. Then we met Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and my father narrated this hadith to him. The color of his face changed, and he said: "This hadith was told to me by Fadl bin Abbas, but the noble wives (of the Prophet) know more about this."
