Hadith 26277
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ أَبُو حَفْصٍ الْمُعَيْطِيُّ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : خَرَجْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ وَأَنَا جَارِيَةٌ لَمْ أَحْمِلْ اللَّحْمَ وَلَمْ أَبْدُنْ , فَقَالَ لِلنَّاسِ : " تَقَدَّمُوا " فَتَقَدَّمُوا , ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي : " تَعَالَيْ حَتَّى أُسَابِقَكِ " فَسَابَقْتُهُ فَسَبَقْتُهُ , فَسَكَتَ عَنِّي , حَتَّى إِذَا حَمَلْتُ اللَّحْمَ وَبَدُنْتُ وَنَسِيتُ , خَرَجْتُ مَعَهُ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ , فَقَالَ لِلنَّاسِ : " تَقَدَّمُوا " فَتَقَدَّمُوا , ثُمَّ قَالَ : " تَعَالَيْ حَتَّى أُسَابِقَكِ " فَسَابَقْتُهُ , فَسَبَقَنِي , فَجَعَلَ يَضْحَكُ , وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " هَذِهِ بِتِلْكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raced with me, and I outran him in that race. After some time, when my body had gained weight, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raced with me again, and this time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went ahead and said, "This is the recompense for that time."

Hadith 26278
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , عَنْ سُفْيَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حُسَيْنٍ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ مُعْتَكِفًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةٍ , قَالَتْ : فَغَسَلْتُ رَأْسَهُ وَإِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ الْعَتَبَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in i'tikaf, he would only come home due to a human need, and he would extend his head out from the mosque, and I would wash it while there was the door frame between me and him.

Hadith 26279
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ يَعْنِي الْوَاسِطِيَّ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا عَائِشَةُ , إِنْ كُنْتِ أَلْمَمْتِ بِذَنْبٍ فَاسْتَغْفِرِي اللَّهَ , فَإِنَّ التَّوْبَةَ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ النَّدَمُ وَالِاسْتِغْفَارُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the occasion of the incident of Ifk, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: O Aisha! If you have intended a sin, then seek forgiveness from Allah, because repentance from sin is remorse and seeking forgiveness.

Hadith 26280
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْلَى الثَّقَفِيَّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " مَا نَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ الْعِشَاءِ وَلَا سَهِرَ بَعْدَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never slept before the Isha prayer, nor did he ever engage in storytelling after the Isha prayer.

Hadith 26281
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to kiss his wives while he was fasting.

Hadith 26282
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ , عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ , عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " فُرِضَتْ الصَّلَاةُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِلَّا الْمَغْرِبَ فُرِضَتْ ثَلَاثًا لِأَنَّهَا وِتْرٌ , قَالَتْ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَافَرَ صَلَّى الصَّلَاةَ الْأُولَى إِلَّا الْمَغْرِبَ , فَإِذَا أَقَامَ زَادَ مَعَ كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِلَّا الْمَغْرِبَ , لِأَنَّهَا وَتْرٌ , وَالصُّبْحَ , لِأَنَّهُ يُطَوِّلُ فِيهَا الْقِرَاءَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that in Makkah Mukarramah, when prayer was initially made obligatory, it was in the form of two rak‘ahs for each prayer except Maghrib. But when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Madinah Munawwarah, by the command of Allah, two rak‘ahs were added to each of the prayers, except for Maghrib prayer, as it is the witr of the day, and Fajr prayer, in which the recitation is made long. However, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would travel, he would perform only two rak‘ahs as per the initial method.

Hadith 26283
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنِ النَّخَعِيِّ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " كَانَتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْيُمْنَى لِطُهُورِهِ وَلِطَعَامِهِ , وَكَانَتْ الْيُسْرَى لِخَلَائِهِ , وَمَا كَانَ مِنْ أَذًى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the right hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was for eating and for remembrance of Allah, and the left hand was for other tasks. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

Narrated to us Ibn Abi Adi, from Sa'id, from a man, from Abu Ma'shar, from Ibrahim, from Aisha, similar to it.

Hadith 26285
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنِ النَّخَعِيِّ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " كَانَتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْيُسْرَى لِخَلَائِهِ , وَمَا كَانَ مِنْ أَذًى , وَكَانَتْ الْيُمْنَى لِوُضُوئِهِ وَلِمَطْعَمِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the right hand of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was for eating and for remembrance (of Allah), and the left hand was for other tasks.

Hadith 26286
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى , عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رَكْعَتَا الْفَجْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا جَمِيعًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the two rak'ahs before Fajr that these two rak'ahs are better than the whole world.

Hadith 26287
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى أَرْبَعًا وَيَزِيدُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer four rak'ahs of Duha prayer and would add to it as much as he wished.

Hadith 26288
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ , عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ " , وَكَانَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَبْدَأُ قَبْلَهَا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ghusl of janabah from the same vessel of water.

Hadith 26289
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ , أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ , فَقَالَ : إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكِ عَنْ شَيْءٍ وَإِنِّي أَسْتَحْيِيكِ , فَقَالَتْ : " سَلْ مَا بَدَا لَكَ , فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا أُمُّكَ " , فَقُلْتُ : يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا يُوجِبُ الْغُسْلَ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : " إِذَا اخْتَلَفَ الْخِتَانَانِ وَجَبَتْ الْجَنَابَةُ " , فَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يُتْبِعُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " قَدْ فَعَلْتُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاغْتَسَلْنَا " , فَلَا أَدْرِي أَشَيْءٌ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَمْ كَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَقُولُهُ ؟ .
Abdullah bin Rabah says that once he presented himself before Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said, "I want to ask you something, but I feel shy." She replied, "You may ask whatever you wish, for I am your mother." I said, "O Mother of the Believers! What makes ghusl (ritual bath) obligatory?" She replied, "When the private parts meet each other, ghusl becomes obligatory." After narrating this hadith, Qatadah would also say that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do so, so we would perform ghusl." Now I do not know whether this sentence is part of the hadith or the statement of Qatadah.

Hadith 26290
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ بُدَيْلِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُكْثِرُ الصَّلَاةَ قَائِمًا وَقَاعِدًا , فَإِذَا صَلَّى قَاعِدًا رَكَعَ قَاعِدًا , وَإِذَا صَلَّى قَائِمًا رَكَعَ قَائِمًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray standing and also used to pray sitting. When he prayed standing, he would perform the bowing (ruku) standing, and when he prayed sitting, he would perform the bowing (ruku) sitting.

Hadith 26291
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَيُّوبَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , وقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى الْخَفَّافُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يُصِيبُ مِنَ الرُّءُوسِ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ " , وقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , يَعْنِي فِي حَدِيثِهِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ أَيُّوبَ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ , وَكَذَا قَالَ الْخَفَّافُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would kiss my head even while he was fasting. The previous hadith is also narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) through this second chain of narration.

Hadith 26292
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ , أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْهُمْ , يُقَالُ لَهَا : أُمُّ كُلْثُومٍ حَدَّثَتْهُ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْكُلُ طَعَامًا فِي سِتَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ , فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ جَائِعٌ فَأَكَلَهُ بِلُقْمَتَيْنِ , فَقَالَ : " أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَوْ ذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَكَفَاكُمْ , فَإِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ , فَلْيَذْكُرْ اسْمَ اللَّهِ , فَإِنْ نَسِيَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ , فَلْيَقُلْ : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِهِ وَآخِرِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting and eating food with his six companions (may Allah be pleased with them) when a Bedouin came and ate all the food in just two bites. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If he had recited Bismillah, this food would have sufficed for all of you. Therefore, when any one of you eats food, he should recite Bismillah over it. If he forgets to recite Bismillah at the beginning, then upon remembering, he should say: BISMILLAHI FI AWWALIHI WA AKHIRIHI.

Hadith 26293
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , قَالَ : سُئِلَ سَعِيدٌ مَا يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ فِي رُكُوعِهِ ؟ فَأَخْبَرَنَا ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي رُكُوعِهِ وَسُجُودِهِ : " سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ , رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite in bowing and prostration: Subbuhun Quddusun Rabbul Malaikati war-Ruh.

Hadith 26294
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي قُرَّةَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلَالٍ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , عَنْ أُمِّهِ فِي قِصَّةٍ ذَكَرَهَا , فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَشَارَ بِحَدِيدَةٍ إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يُرِيدُ قَتْلَهُ فَقَدْ وَجَبَ دَمُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever points a sharp-edged weapon at a Muslim with the intention of killing him, then it is permissible to kill him.

Hadith 26295
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ دَاوُدَ , عَنْ عَامِرٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " لَوْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَاتِمًا شَيْئًا , لَكَتَمَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ وَإِذْ تَقُولُ لِلَّذِي أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْسِكْ عَلَيْكَ زَوْجَكَ وَاتَّقِ اللَّهَ , وَتُخْفِي فِي نَفْسِكَ مَا اللَّهُ مُبْدِيهِ سورة الأحزاب آية 37 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were to conceal any verse from the revelation that was sent down to him, he would have concealed this verse "which was related to his own self." "Remember the time when you were saying to the one upon whom Allah had bestowed favor and you had also bestowed favor, 'Keep your wife with you and fear Allah,' while you were concealing within yourself that which Allah was going to reveal later."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ , عَنْ سَعِيدٍ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى , عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الْمَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَعَ السَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ , وَالَّذِي يَقْرَؤُهُ وَيَتَتَعْتَعُ فِيهِ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ شَاقٌّ , فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ اثْنَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites the Noble Qur'an with proficiency will be with the righteous and honorable angels, and whoever recites it with difficulty and endures hardship will have a double reward.

Hadith 26297
حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رُفَيْعٍ , عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِي الْقِدْرَ فَيَأْخُذُ الذِّرَاعَ مِنْهَا , فَيَأْكُلُهَا , ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي وَلَا يَتَوَضَّأُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would pass by a pot, take out a piece of meat with bone from it and eat it, then perform prayer without touching water with his hand or making a new ablution.

Hadith 26298
حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ , عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ , عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ جُنُبًا فَلَا صَوْمَ لَهُ , فَأَرْسَلَ مَرْوَانُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ يَسْأَلُهَا , فَقَالَ لَهَا : إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : مَنْ أَصْبَحَ جُنُبًا فَلَا صَوْمَ لَهُ ؟ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : " قَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُجْنِبُ , ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ " , فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ , فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : " إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُجْنِبُ ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ " , فَكَفَّ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ.
Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman says that Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that if a person is in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) in the morning, his fast is not valid. Once, Marwan bin Hakam sent me to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to ask: If someone enters the morning in Ramadan in a state of major ritual impurity and has not yet performed ghusl, Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that his fast is not valid. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would enter the morning in a state of major ritual impurity, then he would perform ghusl and complete the rest of the day's fast. Marwan sent this hadith to Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he refrained from expressing his own opinion.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ , حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورٌ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَ : بَعْضُنَا إِنَّ هَذَا أَخْبَرَنَا عَنْكِ أَنَّكِ قُلْتِ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ , قَالَتْ : " أَجَلْ , وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْلَكُكُمْ لِإِرْبِهِ " .
Alqamah narrates that a person said to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "We have come to know this hadith from you that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to join his body with his wives' bodies while fasting?" She said, "Yes, but the Prophet (peace be upon him) had more control over his desires than you."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ , عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا نَرَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ , قَالَتْ : فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا طَافُوا , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لِيَحِلَّ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ " , قَالَتْ : وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ , قَالَتْ : وَكُنْتُ حَائِضًا فَلَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ أَطُوفَ , فَلَمَّا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةُ الْحَصْبَةِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , يَرْجِعُ نِسَاؤُكَ بِحَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ , وَأَنَا أَرْجِعُ بِحَجَّةٍ ؟ فَقَالَ لِي : " انْطَلِقِي مَعَ أَخِيكِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِلَى التَّنْعِيمِ , ثُمَّ مِيعَادُ مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنِكِ كَذَا وَكَذَا " , قَالَتْ : فَلَقِيتُهُ بِلَيْلٍ وَهُوَ مُهْبِطٌ أَوْ مُصْعِدٌ , قَالَتْ : وَقَالَتْ بِنْتُ حُيَيٍّ : مَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا حَابِسَتَكُمْ , فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَقْرَى حَلْقَى , مَا أُرَانِي إِلَّا حَابِسَتَكُمْ ! أَلَيْسَ قَدْ طُفْتِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ؟ " قَالَتْ : بَلَى , فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَانْفِرِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and our intention was only to perform Hajj. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Makkah Mukarramah, he performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah but did not exit the state of Ihram. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a sacrificial animal with him. His noble wives and the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) also performed Tawaf and Sa’i, and all those who did not have a sacrificial animal with them exited the state of Ihram. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was in her menstrual period. After we had performed our Hajj rituals and reached the place of Hasbah to depart, I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Will your companions return with both Hajj and Umrah, and I will return with only Hajj?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When we reached Makkah Mukarramah, did you not perform Tawaf of both?" I replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Go with your brother to Tan’eem, enter into Ihram for Umrah, perform Umrah, and meet us at such-and-such place." Meanwhile, Hazrat Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) began her menstrual period. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "These women cut and shave (i.e., they delay us), you will make us stay longer. Did you not perform Tawaf al-Ziyarah on the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah?" She replied, "Yes, I did." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then there is no harm, now you may depart." Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that I met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at night while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was ascending the upper part of Makkah Mukarramah and I was descending, or the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was descending and I was ascending.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَتْ : " قَدْ عَدَلْتُمُونَا بِالْكَلْبِ وَالْحِمَارِ ! لَقَدْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَسَّطُ السَّرِيرَ , فَيُصَلِّي وَأَنَا فِي لِحَافِي , فَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَسْنَحَهُ , فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ تِلْقَاءِ رِجْلَيْهِ " .
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) once learned that some people say that a dog, a donkey, and a woman passing in front of a person praying breaks his prayer. So she said, "I think these people have made us equal to dogs and donkeys, whereas sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would pray at night and I would be lying between him and the Qiblah like a bier. If I needed something, I would slip away from the foot of the bed, because I did not like to pass in front of him."

Hadith 26303
حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ , عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ الطِّيبِ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that (I used to apply the best perfume available with me to the Prophet ﷺ and) it is as if that scene is still before my eyes that I am seeing the shine of musk on the head of the Prophet ﷺ while he was in the state of Ihram.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ , عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ , قَالَ : أَتَيْنَ نِسْوَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ حِمْصَ عَائِشَةَ , فَقَالَتْ لَهُنَّ عَائِشَةُ : لَعَلَّكُنَّ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ اللَّواتِي يَدْخُلْنَ الْحَمَّامَاتِ ؟ فَقُلْنَ لَهَا : إِنَّا لَنَفْعَلُ , فَقَالَتْ لَهُنَّ عَائِشَةُ : أَمَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ وَضَعَتْ ثِيَابَهَا فِي غَيْرِ بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا , هَتَكَتْ مَا بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ اللَّهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Any woman who removes her clothes anywhere other than her husband's house tears the veil between herself and her Lord."

Hadith 26305
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدٌ , عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " لَقَدْ تُوُفِّيَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا , فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the son of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), passed away at the age of eighteen months, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not lead his funeral prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَي بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : " لَمَّا أَرَادُوا غُسْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ , فَقَالُوا : وَاللَّهِ مَا نَرَى كَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ , أَنُجَرِّدُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا نُجَرِّدُ مَوْتَانَا أَمْ نُغَسِّلُهُ وَعَلَيْهِ ثِيَابُهُ ؟ قَالَتْ : فَلَمَّا اخْتَلَفُوا أَرْسَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ السِّنَةَ حَتَّى وَاللَّهِ مَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ رَجُلٍ إِلَّا ذَقْنُهُ فِي صَدْرِهِ نَائِمًا , قَالَتْ : ثُمَّ كَلَّمَهُمْ مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ الْبَيْتِ , لَا يَدْرُونَ مَنْ هُوَ , فَقَالَ : اغْسِلُوا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَيْهِ ثِيَابُهُ , قَالَتْ : فَثَارُوا إِلَيْهِ , فَغَسَّلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي قَمِيصِهِ يُفَاضُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءُ وَالسِّدْرُ , وَيُدَلِّكُهُ الرِّجَالُ بِالْقَمِيصِ , وَكَانَتْ تَقُولُ : لَوْ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا غَسَّلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا نِسَاؤُهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the people intended to give Ghusl (ritual bath) to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there arose a difference of opinion among the people and they began to say, "By Allah! We do not understand what to do. Should we remove the clothes from the body of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) like ordinary men, or should we give him Ghusl with his clothes on?" Meanwhile, Allah caused drowsiness to overcome them, and by Allah, there was not a single man whose chin did not fall upon his chest and who did not fall asleep. Then, from a corner of the house, a voice was heard from someone whose identity they did not know, and he said, "Give the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) Ghusl with his clothes on." So the people advanced and began to give the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) Ghusl with his clothes on, and water mixed with lote leaves was poured over the blessed body, and the body was rubbed over the shirt itself. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says, "If I had understood earlier what I understood later, then only the pure wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have given him Ghusl."

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , فقَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : كَانَ النَّاسُ يُصَلُّونَ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَمَضَانَ بِاللَّيْلِ أَوْزَاعًا , يَكُونُ مَعَ الرَّجُلِ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ , فَيَكُونُ مَعَهُ النَّفَرُ الْخَمْسَةُ أَوْ السِّتَّةُ أَوْ أَقَلُّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ أَوْ أَكْثَرُ , فَيُصَلُّونَ بِصَلَاتِهِ , قَالَتْ : فَأَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةً مِنْ ذَلِكَ أَنْ أَنْصِبَ لَهُ حَصِيرًا عَلَى بَابِ حُجْرَتِي , فَفَعَلْتُ , فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ أَنْ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ , قَالَتْ : فَاجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ , فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا , ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَدَخَلَ وَتَرَكَ الْحَصِيرَ عَلَى حَالِهِ , فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ تَحَدَّثُوا بِصَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ , قَالَتْ : وَأَمْسَى الْمَسْجِدُ رَاجًّا بِالنَّاسِ , فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ , ثُمَّ دَخَلَ بَيْتَهُ وَثَبَتَ النَّاسُ , قَالَتْ : فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ يَا عَائِشَةُ ؟ " قَالَتْ : فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , سَمِعَ النَّاسُ بِصَلَاتِكَ الْبَارِحَةَ بِمَنْ كَانَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ , فَحَشَدُوا لِذَلِكَ لِتُصَلِّيَ بِهِمْ , قَالَتْ فَقَالَ : " اطْوِ عَنَّا حَصِيرَكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ " , قَالَتْ : فَفَعَلْتُ , وَبَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَيْرَ غَافِلٍ , وَثَبَتَ النَّاسُ مَكَانَهُمْ حَتَّى خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الصُّبْحِ , فَقَالَتْ فَقَالَ : " أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ , أَمَا وَاللَّهِ مَا بِتُّ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ لَيْلَتِي هَذِهِ غَافِلًا , وَمَا خَفِيَ عَلَيَّ مَكَانُكُمْ , وَلَكِنِّي تَخَوَّفْتُ أَنْ يُفْتَرَضَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ , فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا " , قَالَ : وَكَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَقُولُ : إِنَّ أَحَبَّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَدْوَمُهَا وَإِنْ قَلَّ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during the blessed month of Ramadan, people used to pray in the Prophet’s Mosque at night in different groups. Whoever knew a little bit of the Qur’an, about six people would stand with him and pray with him. One day, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to spread a mat at the door of the chamber, so I did so. After the ‘Isha prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out of the house in the middle of the night and started praying in the mosque. People gathered and joined the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in prayer. In the morning, people mentioned to each other that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had come out of his house at midnight and prayed in the mosque. So, the next night, more people gathered than before. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out as usual and started praying, and people joined him. The same happened on the third night. On the fourth night, so many people gathered that there was no room left in the mosque for anyone else to come, but that night the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained in the house and did not come out, until I heard some people saying, “Prayer! Prayer!” But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not come out. Then, when he led the Fajr prayer, after finishing the prayer he stood among the people, testified to the Oneness of Allah and the Messengership, and after saying “Amma ba’du” said: “Your condition tonight was not hidden from me, but I feared that this prayer might become obligatory upon you and then you would be unable to perform it. Therefore, do as much as you are able, for Allah will not tire, but you will surely tire.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : دَخَلَتْ عَلَيَّ خُوَيْلَةُ بِنْتُ حَكِيمِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ الْأَوْقَصِ السُّلَمِيَّةُ , وَكَانَتْ عِنْدَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ , قَالَتْ : فَرَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَذَاذَةَ هَيْئَتِهَا , فَقَالَ لِي : " يَا عَائِشَةُ , مَا أَبَذَّ هَيْئَةَ خُوَيْلَةَ ؟ " قَالَتْ : فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , امْرَأَةٌ لَا زَوْجَ لَهَا يَصُومُ النَّهَارَ وَيَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ فَهِيَ كَمَنْ لَا زَوْجَ لَهَا , فَتَرَكَتْ نَفْسَهَا وَأَضَاعَتْهَا , قَالَتْ : فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ فَجَاءَهُ , فَقَالَ : " يَا عُثْمَانُ , أَرَغْبَةً عَنْ سُنَّتِي ؟ " قَالَ : فَقَالَ : لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , وَلَكِنْ سُنَّتَكَ أَطْلُبُ , قَالَ : " فَإِنِّي أَنَامُ وَأُصَلِّي , وَأَصُومُ وَأُفْطِرُ , وَأَنْكِحُ النِّسَاءَ , فَاتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَا عُثْمَانُ , فَإِنَّ لِأَهْلِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَقًّا , وَإِنَّ لِضَيْفِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَقًّا , وَإِنَّ لِنَفْسِكَ عَلَيْكَ حَقًّا , فَصُمْ وَأَفْطِرْ , وَصَلِّ وَنَمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the wife of Hazrat Uthman bin Maz'oon, Khawla bint Hakim, used to apply henna and smell of fragrance, but suddenly she abandoned all these things. One day she came to me in a disheveled state, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me, "Aisha! Why is Khawla in this bad condition?" I replied, "O Messenger of Allah! She is like a woman who has no husband, because her husband fasts all day and prays all night, so she is as if she has no husband. That is why she has left herself in this state." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) met him and said, "O Uthman! Are you turning away from my Sunnah?" He replied, "No, by Allah, O Messenger of Allah! I am seeking your Sunnah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then I sleep and I pray, I fast and I break my fast, and I marry women. Therefore, O Uthman! Fear Allah, for your family, your guests, and even your own self have rights over you. So fast and also break your fast, pray and also sleep."

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : مَرَّتْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحَوْلَاءُ بِنْتُ تُوَيْتٍ , فَقِيلَ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّهَا تُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ صَلَاةً كَثِيرَةً , فَإِذَا غَلَبَهَا النَّوْمُ ارْتَبَطَتْ بِحَبْلٍ , فَتَعَلَّقَتْ بِهِ , قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَلْتُصَلِّ مَا قَوِيَتْ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ , فَإِذَا نَعَسَتْ فَلْتَنَمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a woman named Hawla bint Tuwait passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Someone informed him, "O Messenger of Allah! This woman prays all night, and when she becomes overcome by sleep, she ties a rope and hangs from it." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "She should pray as long as she has strength, and when she becomes drowsy, she should sleep."

Hadith 26310
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ , عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِشَهْرٍ أَكْثَرَ صِيَامًا مِنْهُ لِشَعْبَانَ , وَكَانَ يَصُومُهُ أَوْ عَامَّتَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I did not see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fasting in any month as much as I saw him fasting in Sha'ban. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast almost the entire month, leaving only a few days.

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرِّجَالِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ أَنْ يُمْنَعَ نَقْعُ الْبِئْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No one should be prevented from using water that is in excess of need or water remaining in a well.

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : ابْتَاعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ جَزُورًا , أَوْ جَزَائِرَ , بِوَسْقٍ مِنْ تَمْرِ الذَّخِرَةِ , وَتَمْرُ الذَّخِرَةِ الْعَجْوَةُ , فَرَجَعَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ , وَالْتَمَسَ لَهُ التَّمْرَ , فَلَمْ يَجِدْهُ , فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّا قَدْ ابْتَعْنَا مِنْكَ , جَزُورًا أَوْ جَزَائِرَ , بِوَسْقٍ مِنْ تَمْرِ الذَّخْرَةِ , فَالْتَمَسْنَاهُ , فَلَمْ نَجِدْهُ " , قَالَ : فَقَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ : وَاغَدْرَاهُ . قَالَتْ : فَنَهَمَهُ النَّاسُ , وَقَالُوا : قَاتَلَكَ اللَّهُ , أَيَغْدِرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ ! قَالَتْ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَعُوهُ , فَإِنَّ لِصَاحِبِ الْحَقِّ مَقَالًا " , ثُمَّ عَادَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " يَا عَبْدَ اللَّه , إِنَّا ابْتَعْنَا مِنْكَ جَزَائِرَكَ وَنَحْنُ نَظُنُّ أَنَّ عِنْدَنَا مَا سَمَّيْنَا لَكَ , فَالْتَمَسْنَاهُ , فَلَمْ نَجِدْهُ " , فَقَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ : وَاغَدْرَاهُ , فَنَهَمَهُ النَّاسُ , وَقَالُوا : قَاتَلَكَ اللَّهُ أَيَغْدِرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ ! فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَعُوهُ , فَإِنَّ لِصَاحِبِ الْحَقِّ مَقَالًا " , فَرَدَّدَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّتَيْنِ , أَوْ ثَلَاثًا , فَلَمَّا رَآهُ لَا يَفْقَهُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ : " اذْهَبْ إِلَى خُوَيْلَةَ بِنْتِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ , فَقُلْ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَكِ : إِنْ كَانَ عِنْدَكِ وَسْقٌ مِنْ تَمْرِ الذَّخِرَةِ , فَأَسْلِفِينَاهُ حَتَّى نُؤَدِّيَهُ إِلَيْكِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ " , فَذَهَبَ إِلَيْهَا الرَّجُلُ , ثُمَّ رَجَعَ الرَّجُلُ , فَقَالَ : قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ , هُوَ عِنْدِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , فَابْعَثْ مَنْ يَقْبِضُهُ , فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلرَّجُلِ : " اذْهَبْ بِهِ , فَأَوْفِهِ الَّذِي لَهُ " , قَالَ فَذَهَبَ بِهِ , فَأَوْفَاهُ الَّذِي لَهُ , قَالَتْ : فَمَرَّ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ , فَقَالَ : جَزَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا , فَقَدْ أَوْفَيْتَ وَأَطْيَبْتَ , قَالَتْ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُولَئِكَ خِيَارُ عِبَادِ اللَّهِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُوفُونَ الْمُطِيبُونَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bought one or several camels from a Bedouin and set the price as one wasq of stored dates (ajwa), and then proceeded towards his house. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) searched for the dates there but could not find them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to him and said, "O servant of Allah! I have bought camels from you in exchange for one wasq of stored dates, but I do not have the dates at this time." The Bedouin said, "Alas! I have been deceived." The people scolded him and said, "May Allah's curse be upon you, would the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) deceive?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Leave him, for the rightful person can speak his claim." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated his statement two or three times, and each time the Bedouin said the same, and the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) scolded him. Finally, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that he was not understanding, he said to one of his Companions, "Go to Khawla bint Hakim and say to her that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says, 'If you have one wasq of stored dates, lend them to us, we will return them to you in full, InshaAllah.'" The Companion went, then returned and informed that she says, "O Messenger of Allah! I have the dates, send someone to take them." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Take him and give him the full amount." The Companion took the Bedouin and gave him the full dates. Later, that Bedouin passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who was sitting with the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), and he said, "Jazak Allahu Khairan, you have paid in full and paid excellently." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, the best servants in the sight of Allah will be those who fulfill and pay in the best manner."

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ وَسَعْدٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ , عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : كَانَتْ فِي حِجْرِي جَارِيَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ , فَزَوَّجْتُهَا , قَالَتْ : فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عُرْسِهَا , فَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ لَعِبًا , فَقَالَ : " يَا عَائِشَةُ , إِنَّ هَذَا الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُحِبُّونَ كَذَا وَكَذَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that there was an Ansari girl under my care. I arranged her marriage. On the day of her wedding, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and did not hear any sounds of play or amusement. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Aisha! The Ansar tribe likes such and such thing."

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ , عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ سَفَرًا أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ , فَأَيَّتُهُنَّ مَا خَرَجَ سَهْمُهَا خَرَجَ بِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to set out on a journey, he would draw lots among his noble wives, and whichever of them had her name drawn, he would take her along with him on the journey.

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : أَتَتْ سَهْلَةُ بِنْتُ سُهَيْلٍ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَتْ لَهُ : يَا نبيَّ اللَّهِ , إِنَّ سَالِمًا كَانَ مِنَّا حَيْثُ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ , أَنَّا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُ وَلَدًا , فَكَانَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيَّ كَيْفَ شَاءَ لَا نَحْتَشِمُ مِنْهُ , فَلَمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ وَفِي أَشْبَاهِهِ مَا أَنْزَلَ أَنْكَرْتُ وَجْهَ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ إِذَا رَآهُ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيَّ , قَالَ : " فَأَرْضِعِيهِ عَشْرَ رَضَعَاتٍ , ثُمَّ لِيَدْخُلْ عَلَيْكِ كَيْفَ شَاءَ , فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ ابْنُكِ " , فَكَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ تَرَاهُ عَامًّا لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ , وَكَانَ مَنْ سِوَاهَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرَى أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ خَاصَّةً لِسَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ الَّذِي ذَكَرَتْ سَهْلَةُ مِنْ شَأْنِهِ رُخْصَةً لَهُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that one day Hazrat Sahla came and said, "O Messenger of Allah! We used to consider Salim as our son; he lived with me and Abu Hudhaifa and saw matters of my privacy. Now Allah has revealed the command regarding adopted sons, which you also know, and because of this I now see signs of displeasure on Abu Hudhaifa's face." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Give him ten sips of your milk." Thus, after that, Salim became like their foster son. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) understood from this hadith that this command is general for all Muslims, while the other noble wives considered it specific to Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifa.

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ , عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ : " لَقَدْ أُنْزِلَتْ آيَةُ الرَّجْمِ وَرَضَعَاتُ الْكَبِيرِ عَشْرٌ , فَكَانَتْ فِي وَرَقَةٍ تَحْتَ سَرِيرٍ فِي بَيْتِي , فَلَمَّا اشْتَكَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَشَاغَلْنَا بِأَمْرِهِ , وَدَخَلَتْ دُوَيْبَةٌ لَنَا فَأَكَلَتْهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the verse of stoning was revealed, and the verse regarding the proof of suckling by ten sucklings for an adult man was also revealed, which was written on a paper and placed under my bed in my house. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) fell ill and we became occupied with him, a goat came and ate it. Benefit: Every sensible person can understand that this hadith is fabricated and invented.
