The questioner asked, "Tell us, what if he is not able to do that?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He should help someone in need or a distressed person. The questioner asked, "What if a person cannot even do that?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He should enjoin good or justice. It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to the area of my people. When the season of Hajj approached, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out for Hajj, and I also attained the honor of performing Hajj. When I presented myself before him, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was encamped at Abtah. He asked me, "O Abdullah bin Qais! With what intention did you put on Ihram?" I replied, "Labbaik for Hajj, with the same intention as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Very good. Tell me, did you bring a sacrificial animal with you?" I said, "No." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Go and perform Tawaf of the House of Allah, perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and come out of Ihram." So I went and did as the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded. Then I went to a woman of my people, and she washed my head with 'khatmi' and looked for lice in my hair. Then, on the eighth of Dhul-Hijjah, I put on Ihram for Hajj. I continued to give people the same fatwa until the passing of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as he had commanded me. The same situation remained during the time of Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). When the time of Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came, one day I was standing near the Black Stone and telling people the same ruling that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had commanded me, when suddenly a man came and whispered to me, "Do not be hasty in giving this fatwa, because the Commander of the Faithful has issued some new rulings regarding the rites of Hajj." I said to the people, "O people! Whoever has received a fatwa from us regarding the rites of Hajj should wait, for the Commander of the Faithful is coming; follow him." Then when Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, I asked him, "O Commander of the Faithful! Have you issued any new rulings regarding the rites of Hajj?" He replied, "Yes! If we take the Book of Allah, it commands us to complete (the rites), and if we take the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he did not come out of Ihram until he had offered the sacrifice."
Hadith 19535
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he fell unconscious, and his umm walad began to weep. When he regained consciousness, he said to her, "Do you not know what the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has said?" She asked, "What did he say?" He replied, "He is not one of us who wails loudly, pulls out hair, and tears his collar."
Hadith 19536
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever hears about me, whether he is from my Ummah, a Jew, or a Christian, and does not believe in me, will not enter Paradise.

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him). Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) replied to him in writing that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was once going along when he reached near soft ground beside a garden and urinated there. He said: Among the Children of Israel, when any person urinated and a little urine touched his body, he would cut off that part with scissors. And he said: When any of you intends to urinate, he should look for soft ground.

Abu Bakr bin Abdullah says that once, in front of the enemy army, I heard my father saying that I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) say: "The gates of Paradise are under the shade of swords." Upon hearing this, a disheveled man from among the people stood up and said, "O Abu Musa! Did you yourself hear this hadith from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?" He replied, "Yes!" The man returned to his companions, bade them farewell for the last time, broke the sheath of his sword and threw it away, then took up his sword and set out. He fought with such intensity that he was eventually martyred.

We requested animals for riding from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "By Allah! I cannot provide you with mounts because I do not have anything to mount you on." We waited for a while, "as long as Allah willed," then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered for three camels with bright foreheads for us. When we were about to leave, one of us said to the other, "We had come to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to request riding animals, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had sworn that he would not give us riding animals. Let us go back and remind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) of his oath." So we again presented ourselves before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! We had come to you to request riding animals, and you had sworn that you would not give us riding animals, yet you gave us animals?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I did not provide you with mounts, rather Allah Almighty did. By Allah! If Allah wills, whenever I take an oath and see something better in another thing, I will choose that and offer expiation for my oath."
