It is narrated from Hazrat Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a peace agreement with the people of Makkah on the condition that he would stay in Makkah for only three days and would enter Makkah carrying only "jilban silah." Hadith 18546

Abu Dawood (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I met Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), he greeted me with Salam and held my hand and started smiling in front of me. Then he said, "Do you know why I did this with you?" I said, "I do not know, but surely you must have done it with a good intention." He said, "Once I met the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he did the same with me and asked me the same question, and I gave the same answer as you did. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, 'When two Muslims meet and one of them greets the other with Salam and holds his hand solely for the sake of Allah's pleasure, then when they part, their sins are forgiven.'"
Hadith 18549
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: "Tomorrow you will face your enemy, at that time your slogan (identifying sign) will be the word 'Laa yunsaroon'."

Hadith 18553
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we used to pray behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), we considered it good to stand on the right side of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “O Lord! Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says that we used to discuss among ourselves that on the occasion of the Battle of Badr, the number of the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) was equal to the number of the companions of Talut, "who were present at the time of the battle with Jalut," which was three hundred and thirteen. These companions of Talut were the same ones who crossed the river with him, and only that person was able to cross the river who was a believer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the beginning, this verse of the Noble Qur’an was revealed: “Those among the Muslims who sit (without participating in jihad) and those who strive in the way of Allah are not equal.” The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Hazrat Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) and ordered him to bring a shoulder bone, and he wrote this verse on it. Upon this, Hazrat Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with him) complained about his blindness, so the words “except those who are disabled” were further revealed in this verse, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Bring me a shoulder bone or a tablet and an inkwell.”

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed an Ansari that when he comes to his bed, he should say: O Allah, I have submitted myself to You, I have turned my face towards You, I have entrusted my affairs to You, and I have relied on You alone for support. My desire is for You, and I fear You. There is no refuge or sanctuary except with You. I have believed in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent. It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made a treaty with the people of Hudaybiyyah, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sat down to write the document of its contents. He wrote in it the words "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah" (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but the polytheists said, "Do not write these words, because if you were the Messenger of Allah, we would never have fought you." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), "Erase these words." Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I cannot erase them." So the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself erased them with his blessed hand. So send down tranquility upon us, and make us firm when we meet the enemy. These people have rebelled against us, and when they intend to cause turmoil, we refuse. Upon this last sentence, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise his voice. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were on a journey with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). We reached a well in which only a little water was left. Six men, including myself, went down into it. Then buckets were lowered. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was also present at the edge of the well. We poured about half or two-thirds of the water into them and presented it before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I checked my vessel thoroughly to see if I could get enough water to quench my thirst, but I could not find any. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his hand into that bucket and recited some words "which Allah willed." After that, the bucket was returned to us (when it was poured into the well, we were still inside the well). I saw my last companion being pulled out by his clothes so that he would not drown, and the water overflowed. The previous hadith is also narrated from this second chain of transmission.
