It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Most of the hypocrites of my Ummah will be among the reciters (Qurra).

It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when this blessed verse "Fasabbih bismi rabbikal azeem" was revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Include it in your bowing (ruku')" (that is why 'Subhana Rabbiyal Azeem' is said in ruku'). And when "Sabbih isma rabbikal a'la" was revealed, he said: "Include it in your prostration (sajdah)" (that is why 'Subhana Rabbiyal A'la' is said in sajdah).
It is narrated with a chain from Abu Qabeel that I have heard only the following hadith from Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him). It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: I fear for my ummah regarding the Book and milk. Someone asked, O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) What is meant by the danger of the Book and milk? He replied: The hypocrites will learn it and will argue with the believers, and they will love milk and because of it will leave the congregation and will abandon the Friday prayers.
Abu Al-Khair says that once I saw Abu Tamim Jaishani (may Allah have mercy on him) performing two rak'ahs after hearing the adhan of Maghrib prayer, so I went to Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Are you not surprised at Abu Tamim's action that he performs two rak'ahs before Maghrib prayer?" My intention was to lower Abu Tamim in the eyes of Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him), but Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "We also used to do this during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." I asked, "Then why do you not do it now?" He replied, "Because of being occupied."
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded me to recite the Mu'awwidhat (the Surahs in which the words "Qul A'udhu" occur) after every prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a delegation (of ten men) came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted the allegiance of nine of them and withheld his hand from one. They asked, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) You accepted the allegiance of nine and left this person?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He is wearing an amulet." Upon hearing this, he put his hand into his collar and tore the amulet into pieces. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted his allegiance as well and said, "Whoever hangs an amulet commits shirk (associating partners with Allah)."
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The expiation for a vow is the same as the expiation for an oath.

(He refused and) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever leads people in prayer, offering it on time and completely, he will receive the reward as will the followers; but whoever is negligent in it, its burden will be upon him alone, not upon the followers.
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade branding (with fire), and he (peace be upon him) disliked drinking hot water. When he applied kohl, he would do so in odd numbers, and when he used incense, he would also use it in odd numbers.

Hisham bin Abi Ruqayyah, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once Hazrat Muslamah bin Makhlad, may Allah be pleased with him, was sitting on the pulpit delivering a sermon and I was also listening. He said: O people! Is silk, 'asab, and linen not sufficient for you? There is a companion, may Allah be pleased with him, present among you who will narrate to you the hadith of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Uqbah! Stand up. So Hazrat Uqbah, may Allah be pleased with him, stood up and I heard him say: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever attributes a false statement to me, let him prepare his abode in Hell. And I bear witness that I also heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever wears silk in this world will be deprived of wearing it in the Hereafter.
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recite this verse on the pulpit: "And prepare against them whatever you are able of power," and then say: "Be aware! Power means archery." He said this sentence three times.
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: Soon many lands will be conquered before you and Allah Almighty will suffice you, therefore no person should fail to busy himself with his arrows.

Thus, the sweat of some will reach up to their ankles, some up to half of their shins, some up to their knees, some up to their thighs, some up to their waists, some up to their shoulders, some up to their necks, and some will have sweat up to the middle of their mouths, and it will be in their mouths like a bridle. I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) indicating this, and some will be completely submerged in their sweat.

Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, do not do so, rather advise them and warn them. The scribe did so, but they did not desist. So Dukhain again came to Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, I forbade them but they did not desist, and now I will surely call the police. Hazrat Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, Alas! Do not do so, because I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, it is as if he saves a girl buried alive.
