حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَكَيمِ قَائِدُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَصَمُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً ، قَالَ : " انْبَسِطُوا بِهَا ، وَلَا تَدِبُّوا دَبِيبَ الْيَهُودِ بِجَنَائِزِهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) attended a funeral, he would say: Walk with spaciousness, do not walk in the manner that the Jews walk with their funerals.
