حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا شَكَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسْوَةَ قَلْبِهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " إِنْ أَرَدْتَ تَلْيِينَ قَلْبِكَ ، فَأَطْعِمْ الْمِسْكِينَ ، وَامْسَحْ رَأْسَ الْيَتِيمِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man complained to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about the hardness of his heart. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: If you want to soften your heart, then feed the poor and gently place your hand with affection on the head of the orphan.
