(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قِيلَ لَهُ : عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ فقَالَ : نَعَمْ : " إِذَا أَتَيْتُمْ الصَّلَاةَ ، فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا ، وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ ، وَأْتُوهَا وَعَلَيْكُمْ السَّكِينَةُ ، فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ ، فَصَلُّوا ، وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ ، فَاقْضُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not come running for prayer, rather come with calmness and tranquility. Whatever part of the prayer you catch, perform it, and complete what you have missed.
