(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اشْتَكَتْ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا ، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا بِنَفَسَيْنِ : نَفَسٌ فِي الشِّتَاءِ ، وَنَفَسٌ فِي الصَّيْفِ ، فَأَشَدُّ مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Once the fire of Hell complained to its Lord, saying that one part of mine has consumed another part. Allah allowed it to breathe twice—once in the cold and once in the heat. Thus, the most intense heat is due to the effect of the heat of Hell.
