(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَدْ عَفَوْتُ لَكُمْ عَنِ الْخَيْلِ وَالرَّقِيقِ ، فَهَاتُوا صَدَقَةَ الرِّقَّةِ : مِنْ كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا دِرْهَمًا ، وَلَيْسَ فِي تِسْعِينَ وَمِائَةٍ شَيْءٌ ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ مِائَتَيْنِ فَفِيهَا خَمْسَةُ دَرَاهِمَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have exempted you from paying zakat on horses and slaves, therefore you must pay zakat on silver in any case. Its nisab is that for every forty, one dirham will be obligatory. Nothing will be obligatory up to one hundred and ninety dirhams, but when their amount reaches two hundred, then five dirhams will be obligatory on it."
