Musnad Ahmad 6829 — Musnad of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أُرِيدَ مَالُهُ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ ، فَقَاتَلَ فَقُتِلَ ، فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is killed while protecting his wealth is a martyr."
وَأَحْسِبُ الْأَعْرَجَ حَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مِثْلَهُ .
This same hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him).
