(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يُقْتَلُ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ ، وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No Muslim should be killed in exchange for a disbeliever, nor should a dhimmi be killed during the period of his covenant."
