(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ العاص ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " قَلْبُ ابْنِ آدَمَ عَلَى إِصْبَعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الْجَبَّارِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يُقَلِّبَهُ قَلَّبَهُ " ، فَكَانَ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ : " يَا مُصَرِّفَ الْقُلُوبِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The hearts of all the children of Adam are between two fingers of Allah, like a single heart. He turns them as He wills." For this reason, the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to frequently supplicate: "O Allah, Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts towards Your obedience."
