(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، وَسُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْف ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، رَفَعَهُ سُفْيَانُ ، وَوَقَفَهُ مِسْعَرٌ ، قَالَ : " مِنَ الْكَبَائِرِ أَنْ يَشْتُمَ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ " ، قَالُوا : وَكَيْفَ يَشْتُمُ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ ؟ قَالَ : " يَسُبُّ أَبَا الرَّجُلِ ، فَيَسُبُّ أَبَاهُ ، وَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ ، فَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One of the major sins is that a man abuses his parents." The people asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How can a man abuse his own parents?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He abuses another man's father, and that man in return abuses his father; and he abuses another man's mother, and that man in return abuses his mother."
