(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْقَزَعِ " ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ : وَهِيَ الْقَزَعَةُ ، الرُّقْعَةُ فِي الرَّأْسِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He forbade qaza." Qaza means that when cutting a child's hair, some hair is cut and some is left (as is the fashion nowadays).
