(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يُصَلِّي يَعْنِي يَقْرَأُ ، السَّجْدَةَ فِي غَيْرِ صَلَاةٍ ، فَيَسْجُدُ وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ ، حَتَّى رُبَّمَا لَمْ يَجِدْ أَحَدُنَا مَكَانًا يَسْجُدُ فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite a verse of prostration outside of prayer and would perform prostration, and we would also perform prostration with him, to the extent that some of us would not find space to place our foreheads on the ground.
