(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُبَارَكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ , حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَسْتَنُّ ، فَأَعْطَى أَكْبَرَ الْقَوْمِ ، وَقَالَ : إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُكَبِّرَ .
Narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: Once I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) using a miswak. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave that miswak to the oldest person among those present and said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) has commanded me to give this miswak to an elder.
