(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تَشْرَبُوا الْكَرْعَ ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَشْرَبْ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي كَفَّيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not drink water directly from a waterskin (or, in present times, from a tap) by putting your mouth to it; rather, drink by taking it in your hands.
