(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِ مُنْتَهَى أَذَانِهِ ، وَيَسْتَغْفِرُ لَهُ كُلُّ رَطْبٍ وَيَابِسٍ سَمِعَ صَوْتَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah will forgive the muezzin up to the extent his voice reaches, and every dry and wet thing that his voice reaches will bear witness in his favor.
