(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ , إِذَا جَلَسَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ ، وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ ، وَأَتْبَعَهَا بَصَرَهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَهِيَ أَشَدُّ عَلَى الشَّيْطَانِ مِنَ الْحَدِيدِ " ، يَعْنِي السَّبَّابَةَ .
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) says that when Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would sit in prayer, he would place both his hands on his knees and point with his finger and fix his gaze upon it, then he would say that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The finger of testimony is harder upon Satan than iron.
