(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، مَوْلًى لِقُرَيْشٍ ، سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ لَا يَنَامُ إِلَّا وَالسِّوَاكُ عِنْدَهُ ، فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ بَدَأَ بِالسِّوَاكِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to keep a miswak with him even while sleeping, and when he would wake up, the first thing he would do was use the miswak.
