(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تُسَافِرُوا بِالْقُرْآنِ ، فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not take the Noble Qur'an with you when you go on a journey; I fear that it may fall into the hands of the enemy."
