(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ ، عَنْ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً ، وَهُوَ عَنْهَا غَنِيٌّ ، جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ ، وَلَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِمَنْ لَهُ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا ، أَوْ عِوَضُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever begs while he has enough to suffice him, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with his face scratched, and the wealth of zakat is not lawful for the person who possesses fifty dirhams or gold equivalent to it."
