(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَمَا ذَاكَ ؟ " فَقَالُوا : إِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا ، " فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ " . قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : وَسَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، وَحَمَّادًا يُحَدِّثَانِ : أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ كَانَ لَا يَدْرِي أَثَلَاثًا صَلَّى ، أَمْ خَمْسًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the Zuhr prayer and performed five rak'ahs. Someone asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! Has there been an addition to the prayer?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No, what happened?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted: "You have performed five rak'ahs." Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) folded his legs, turned for salam, and performed two prostrations of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw).
