(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي صَاحِبُ هَذِهِ الدَّارِ ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : " الصَّلَاةُ لِوَقْتِهَا " .
Abu Amr Shaibani says that the one who lived in this house narrated this hadith to us, meaning Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), that once I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Which deed is most beloved to Allah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Prayer at its appointed time."
