(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُعْجِبُهُ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ ثَلَاثًا ، وَيَسْتَغْفِرَ ثَلَاثًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked to supplicate three times and seek forgiveness three times.
